Wonder what impact this Board had on Mehringer's Decision

Would you have stayed with all the obnoxious haters on this board? Can't blame him. His wife and kids did not deserve this beating the low lifers gave him.

THIS board? Wait until a single game - A SINGLE GAME - goes bad at Texas due to his passing offense. Please just stop with this stuff guys.

lol...you're so right

this board will seem like a walk in the park compared to what they will deal with there...

but he's a big boy and I am sure he knows what he is walking into

Why don't you go ask Charlie Strong how a good portion of the Texas fans treated him BEFORE he even coached a game when he first got hired.

Being big on social media, you know he was on this board reading all the nasty things people were writing about him. No doubt he made a lot of mistakes, and his play-calling left a lot to be desired, but what were people expecting of a year 1 coordinator with little talent to work with? Any offense is going to struggle when your OL is being dominated.

Very disappointed that he chose to high tail it out of here the first opportunity he got.
I really would have liked to have seen what he could do with the talent coming in next year. Now we're left to wonder.

Old timer mentality.

Why do you keep posting about other' s bad behavior ? Does that make you feel better ? I am talking about posters in this forum. Comparing our idiots to Texas idiots does not make it any better. Comport yourself with class once in awhile . Geez.

Since these message boards are the forum for fanatics to bash, berate, complain and campaign for the firing of coaches at EVERY major football school...don't you think it's relative to point that out?

I know as a fact that that the coaches, staff, families and friends are aware of the comments on the Rutgers Rivals board. One in particular could not believe how mean people could be with their comments about someone they really did not know or have ever met.

If behavior of fans on a message board was the reason a recruit chose a school, only schools with no message board would get recruits. Some on this board need to broaden their viewpoints just a tad.

It's about the play on the field not a personal relationship.
Signs of relative improvement in all phases of the game does wonders for the spirit of the board.
The families of young men playing football at the highest level, whose coaches are making multiple millions of dollars can't be worried about "mean people"

Zap you know me , I don't want to see anyone trashing a player and his family on a forum . There are ways you can do it without being vulgar . I don't care that other colleges do it. Say hi to Grita.

Delusions of grandeur all over the place lol. Drew quits his job to move across the country because some anonymous posts on a message board were mean to him.

I think this is as simple as Mehringer is born and raised in Texas and had a chance to go back home and work with a coach who he is friendly with. Nothing more. than that!

Of course, He is from Texas, grew up a Lornhorn fan, and his best friend just got the Texas HC job and offers him a spot... why the hell would he turn that down?

There isn't anything more to it than that. Trying to make it anything more than that is just insane.

I think this is about a young and immature guy who was not ready for the criticism and heat that comes with working at a high pressure job in the nj-my area. He appeared totally lost in his post-game pressers. He took off with his tail between his legs when he got a chance to return home to his friends and family. He was a little boy lost in a really tough town. He's much better off back in Texas. I wish him well.
