Would we be better off with Corey trying to get 30 every night?

He's not a natural 30 type scorer, but I 100% agree that he needs to be more aggressive and just take over. It's what he's here for....it's his team and he needs to lead. He's a freshman so understandably there'll be some ugly spurts, but go out play hard, lead, and have fun.

He is so much better than our second best player

Starting to click for Corey that he is the best player on the floor. We'll be a better team because of it.

Laurent might also be useful, has the making of a nice game and needs to get his minutes. Daniels is a senior who will never be more than what he is: inconsistent. Laurent needs to gradually get more Daniels less. Foreman will always be a bench player, but there isn't a lot of front court support so he will need to get more minutes than he should.

No. When there is ball movement, the team looks infinitely better. Corey took shots within the flow of the offense. Whole different story when someone goes 1 on 1 and hoists forced shots.

They should pass him the ball more often in the corner to shoot 3s.

Wenzel made a comment during the game when Lewis was in traffic and forced up an awful shot, when he easily could have kicked it out to a WIDE OPEN Corey in front of the RUTGERS bench.

Those kind of plays are maddening. I saw that happen at least one others time during the game (not sure who the players were in that case)

Another thing:
Why is Lewis looking to shoot so much?
Why can't he (or someone else) forget about shooting, and plant themselves (avoiding 3 seconds, of course) under the basket and fight for offensive rebounds?

We need a warrior down low. Someone who will fight his *ss off like a Rodman, or Joel Salvi, or Rasod Kent.
Dirty work
Who the heck does the dirty work on this team?
I don't see anyone playing with any attitude down low.
Is it coaching?

The comments and jokes during the broadcastast night about our offensive rebounding were embarrassing. We didn't get our first until 13 minutes left in the freaking game!!

One person teams will never win. Like posters said, Laurent needs to play more.Foreman is doing better and is helping rebounding. Still, needs improvement. Lewis seems to play better against better opponents, but that's an issue also.

Basketball is fundamentally an ensemble sport - kind of like an orchestra - every once in a while the leader can pick up his violin & wow the crowd with a huge solo performance - but that is not sustainable - the leader has to weave a balance that employees an optimum mix of the existing talents - and has to bring out talent that may be hidden/underdeveloped

Asking a guy----especially a young guy----- to run the offense and get 20-25 shots per game will lead to a total shitshow .

Did the OP enjoy watching the Knicks last year as Carmelo hoisted shots from everywhere as he pleased? Or Eli Carter's last year here when Rice gave him too much rope.
