NCAA Selection Show starting at 6 pm. All 10 brackets will be released for the tourney, except for the #1 and #2 seeds which are being released early.

Some interesting pathways. Other than Ash, if I had to rank their 'pathways' to become an AA, through the championship/wrestleback brackets, from 'easiest' to most difficult, I'd say:

1. Van Brill
2. Gravina
3. Pagano
4. Correnti
5. Theo
6. Delvecchio

Gotta love the Pagano vs. Preisch (6) rematch to start off, but you know Preisch will be prepared.

Gravina drawing the (3) seed is really tough considering the year he's had prior to the B1G tourney, but that is how the chips fall.

Correnti vs. Pfarr (2) is an expected draw, but to have to do the pigtail wrestleback stinks, as it's one extra match. However the path in that wrestleback is more manageable.

Theo would gets a (3) seed in the quarters, then likely the (7)/(10) loser, which is obviously tough.

Delvecchio gets the (3) seed Brock, and then ends up with (12)/(13) likely, then loser of (2)/(7) seed.

Can't wait to meticulously analyze this bracket for the next week and change for it to be completely flipped on its head.

And hopefully Rutgers are the guys doing the flipping!

Go RU!

Theo get the 3 seed in the round of 16 or pre quarters, not the quarter finals. For any Rutgers wrestlers to gain AA, (except AA) they will probably have to win 2 or more bouts in upsets against top ten wrestlers. Getting into the consolations with first round losses make it very tough to get through the consolations to a point you can get into the top 8

I like Van Brill's draw as I do Ashnaults. Like that he hopefully will get a rematch with Kolodziak if he performs like he should in 1st 2 matches.

Due to injury, JVB has been moved up to the 13 seed and will face Langenderfer from Illinois in Round 1 for the 3rd time this season. JVB is 2-0 with a pin over Langenderfer this year and defeated him 7-0 in the B1G tourney.

Who dropped out?

And while we are at it, why don't they try harder to attempt to avoid conference foes from going against each other early on? At most we might have 10 guys out of 33 from the Big?

This made me laugh out loud and I wanted to share it here. On Facebook, there is a "New Jersey Wrestling Forum." There was a recent post about how all 7 of our NCAA qualifiers are NJ kids which led to a discussion of how well we would do as a wrestling team if we got the top kids from NJ every year.

A poster asked, "Besides Ash, who wouldn't you recruit over?" about members of the current wrestling team. Richie Lewis wrote "Me." I almost fell off my chair laughing. Well-played young man.

I can't wait for Lewis to come back next year. He is going to be on a mission.

Anthony Perrotti posts on that site from time to time, as do some of the wrestler's parents. It's a great site, busy , but fun. Lot's of P'burg fans, NJ shore wrestling fans, S Plainfield fans, HS fans in general, most very supportive of Rutgers and the coaching stafff. Screwy Louie posts there too. If you don't know who he is , you aren't following NJ HS wrestling too closely. Quite the character.

spoke to a psu wrestler's father the other day.. He is a starter for them.

Was very surprised to hear how much the dad likes Goodale and has struggled with whether or not the kid should entertain a transfer.

We can get top kids now, the word is out.

OMG!!! THE SHITLINER LIVES???[banana][banana][banana][banana][banana]

at the time of the conversation I didnt put one and one together.. not sure if this is the shitliner kid. lol.

Maybe there was some possible truth to Creedo ' s claim...But by running his mouth, he hurt any possibility of it coming to fruition

Richie can beat anyone. Now fully healthy just watch him next year. You remember when I predicted he would win over 20 matches when he came he from Iowa. Prediction: AA next year.

great to hear that Lewis is healthy and recovered!

Is Lewis sticking to 157 next year and JVB moving up to 165? That would seal a serious hole in our lineup. Just hope Giraldo can get going at 149 as he is way too talented to be a bench guy.

There are no easy matches out there but there are always a bunch of upsets.

Hey Bill.. with the impending storm coming our way.. how does this impact the teams travel plans? They would normally leave on Tuesday correct?
