This was a brutal loss for the Yankees in the 10th after taking the lead in the top of the 10th. The Yanks tied the game in the 6th, 7th, 8th & 9th and finally took the lead in the 10th. Gellegos came in and got the first 2 outs in the bottom of the 10th only to give up a single, a double and an intentional walk. A short pop into center field was dropped by Castro for the loss. I cannot understand why Gardner did not take control and call for the ball. He is the senior Yankee on the team and I felt he definitely should have called Castro off the ball. Leadership was needed at that moment. It seemed like his coming in would have been an easier play than one for Castro. On top of that both Hicks and Sanchez were injured in the top of the 9th. Hopefully neither of these guys will miss much time.
