NCAA Revenue Sharing

Department of Education is about Education. They have an argument where scholarship counts and scholarship money is the point.

Beyond that, where NIL and revenue sharing exists.. the Department of Education should have ZERO say. Two athletes on scholarship, male and female, have the same access to EDUCATION. They do not need to be PAID the same. Revenue sharing should be about REVENUE.

Show me where the womens basketball team makes the same revenue as teh men's and the players are paid less in revenue sharing. When that happens, there may be a point to be made.

Rest of Season

Against, despite the numerous opportunities to gain Quad 1 wins.

Why? because it is a tough schedule: 13 games left, just 5 true home games (plus in MSG vs MSU - by NCAA and Big Ten rules will count as if it is a true home game), and 7 road games. PLUS ... several home games are against some of the best teams in the Big 10 - making them tougher to win, even at home: Michigan and Illinois, in particular (and they are each not only outstanding teams, but probably bad match ups for RU - Michigan in particular). Some of the easier teams RU play in the last 13 games are on the road - tougher to win, therefore: Penn St., Northwestern, Maryland and even Washington. PLUS ... RU has to play Purdue, Michigan and Oregon on the road - 3 of the Big 10's 4-5 best teams ... so ... likely losses. The only game RU should expect to win, and likely the only game RU may be favored in, is its finale versus Minnesota - which just beat Michigan (albeit at home).

Which is why the Kennesaw St and Princeton losses hurt so much ... and why the timing of Harper's illness was so hurtful, costing RU better chances to win @Indiana (a winnable game), and importantly HOME games against Wisconsin and even Purdue. I believe a 100% healthy Harper being present and RU beats Wisconsin, at least.
We would’ve beat Indiana away with Harper. That would’ve helped

OT: Moderate to Significant Snow (and some rain SE of 95) for Sunday, 1/19.

The NAM doesn't seem to NAM anyone anymore. Was it updated recently?
No, the last major upgrade was 2017. The NAM has been scheduled for decommissioning once the "new and improved" (cough-cough) FV3 dynamical core based models are ready and rumor has it they're still not ready, lol.

https://vlab.noaa.gov/web/environme...frozen after, able to give similar performance.

Now I can understand how fans of the other schools felt when RU and Maryland joined

Whether it's football or basketball it still doesnt feel like a Big Ten game when I watch any of the four new schools. I can't even put my finger on why I feel that way. It's just weird seeing USC and Washington etc on the Big Ten Network. I am now a little more understanding of the reception we got when we first joined.

Well depends on how you look at it.

Schedule helps us IF we can win games.

It hurts us bc it’s a really tough oath to do so

OT: Gymnastics investigation update

There was also this one

So, NJ Advanced Media cost Rutgers $750K and a Swim Coach. Hobbs probably handled it correctly.. doing nothing before the charges went public. Then, once made public, *something* caused Hobbs to encourage coach to resign... then we have to pay $750K to avoid a suit over damages for termination without cause.

Thanks NJ Advance Media.

OT: Triple Dead Heat at the Meadowlands

The extremely rare occurrence took place in tonight's second race.
The tote board was unable post the winning price for the third horse because the builders did not include a spot for such a rarity, causing consternation among those who had the 82-1 long shot who was listed third. The horse eventually paid 20-1 once the circuits were restored. It lead to three Daily Doubles,Exactas and Trifectas.Maybe they should have used AI.
