In that case based on his “coaching” since he signed that contract extension he has been awful at “ coaching basketball “. If it ls strictly on coaching and winning games then he should be fired the day after the season ends.

Student sideline is a terrible idea. We do not need to follow the crowd. Just add some bathrooms, add seats in the corners make the 100 seats permanent on at least 1 side, make the 300s seat backs and build out 118. That's about all we need to do, it's not complicated.

Look at the box score. We were significantly outrebounded by Kennesaw State. That probably doesn’t happen if Cliff is patrolling the paint.

We're redoing the Rac to generate much needed $$

You already have, when the team is halfway decent, a top 10, borderline top 5 arena, in the nation
You don't need to move the students to the sideline as you already have a raucous atmosphere

Additionally, since the name of the game is $$, you're losing loads of it by not selling those primo seats to big $$ people, and, in addition, pissing off people who currently sit there and have been loyal supporters for years

Simply put, it's overkill and defeats the entire purpose of redoing the arena to begin with

When recruits visit an empty RAC, it looks like a Dump. When the RAC is filled, and the energy level is palpable, it becomes a competitive advantage because everyone forgets about it’s aesthetics.

The game has changed and everything helps. The thing is, it’s not going to work if it’s only the same people giving year after year. We need more participation from everyone. We have strength in numbers. Waiting for our imaginary big fish to walk through the door is like waiting for the Easter Bunny. It’s never gonna happen. It’s all on us because we care.

Our defensive intensity has slipped this year. This is where losing Cliff, and the lack of quality talent on the roster, has really hurt us. Losing Ogbole, hurt as well.

The layup drills were personally embarrassing.

These guys will be nba all stars in 3 years. What on earth are you talking about?

Best chance now is Dylan rests until his ankle is back to 100%. Maybe 2 weeks? And we win enough games to make the big ten tournament. And then a healthy roster with 2 future NBA stars makes a run.

Fans need to drop cash to ensure Rutgers puts a competitive product out on the floor. Giving a little more, along with others doing the same, dramatically improves our chances.
That is the payoff and ROI.

Ace is only ok because of the surrounding talent, which leads him to take lower quality shots, because he’s one of two players who can score. Put Ace on Duke and he’s a great player, sad to say.

Dylan has been everything we could have asked for. He just has to stay healthy.

It’s not exactly a reach to say a decent portion of major donors didn’t start out paycheck to paycheck. That said if someone isn’t giving $25 a month now it’s pretty unlikely that someone on this board is going to convince them to at this point. Rutgers has a lowbrow and notoriously cheap fanbase that rationalizes things by thinking money/support is not the problem.

If we were too proud to negotiate, we didn’t have the money. That’s what you call spin. We simply cannot compete with FSU because their boosters want to win.

This is the only fanbase that thinks you can win without money, which is why we’ve never won it all. Show me a successful program and I’ll show you a group of boosters that make it happen. Look at UConn, who poached our best player last year. UConn’s success should be ours, but our boosters are not as supportive as theirs. That’s the biggest reason they succeed and we don’t. Dan Hurley, a former assistant for Kevin Bannon, choosing the UConn job, when he could have had ours, tells you all you need to know.

The reason we have a significant amount of misses is that we have to take bigger risks due to lack of resources. It is much, much harder to find players who fall through the cracks thanks to technology.

The “I want to win but I don’t want to donate” attitude is not tenable if we want to build a successful program. It’s time to pony up or shut up.

I’ve never been involved in a college scheduling process but at the high school level, teams often decline coming to places to face good teams in hostile environments. The best option is to do home and homes. I don’t remember what our schedule looked liked last year but I know we had a ton of home duals and it’s possible the heavy road dual schedule this year is repaying those teams by traveling there. Again, I’m not sure how well the two years of opponents compares though.

At the end of the day, if you’re a top 5-15 team, why would you want to go to the RAC when you can face a similar quality opponent in Illinois with way less of a home advantage?

If all coaches thought like Goodale, you’d suck in up and go anyway because great duals in great atmospheres only benefits the sport. No one seems to think big picture though, or at least care about it.

it seems to me the people who are getting so angry about Taylor Swift appearing on their TV for 5 seconds have deeper issues. The league is always trying to draw in more fans so showing her is satisfying the TS crowd who is tuning in to see her.
Some teams are more disciplined and have fewer penalties, this theory that the league is intentionally not calling penalties on them is another conspiracy theory.

Some people enjoy watching greatness. I always cheered for the Patriots (except when they were playing the Giants) same goes for Tiger Woods, i wanted to see him win every major he played in.
