Pony up or Shut Up

Of course Yankee tickets are expensive, better product, they are bought in to providing best team possible, and have a history of doing so. Gave mine up a few years back . It's also professional sports. You know what you are paying for. College has become a joke. Suddenly scholarships that most of society would have loved to have are considered worthless. Pay for play, no guarantee a kid stays. No thanks.
Yes, all true. I have partial tickets and they themselves are pretty expensive. But a portion of the ticket price goes towards paying for players salaries.

College is the same thing, but college tickets are much cheaper, if you compare with what the pros charge, even if you kick in 1000 for players salaries via the collective. And yes, you don’t know what you’re paying for, but you trust the coach will make the right Decisions. It is pay for play. But that’s how the game is played these days. We have to play the game the way things are, and not how we want them to be.

OT: Nations Face-Off 2025

A mish-mash of players from all the non-represented countries only sounds good on paper. It's an honor to be chosen for a national team, it doesn't mean nearly as much to be picked for Team Other. Everyone else is playing for national pride and you're playing for the Island of Misfit Toys.

Bettman said on WednesdY that next World Cup of hockey won’t have a mishmash team - and only countries represented.

I’d say:
US
Fin
can
Swe
Rus
czech
Slovakia
Germany
Swiss

Will be the next itineration

More of a reason for this season

It’s A.

B only really materialized because the season was lost so early. Ace and Dylan took a risk on RU and they got let down by the program not providing and adequate supporting cast. Once that was clear (season over, nothing to play for), I certainly agree motivation was not there and Ace and Dylan stopped putting their all into this.

Pike cannot hold them accountable because they are bigger and of more importance in the basketball world than Pike is. So while it may be happening (accountability/structureless/etc.) it’s the outcome, not the cause.

2023-2024: 9th in the Big Ten with a different A
2023-2024: 12th in the Big Ten with a different A
2024-2025: currently 14 in the Big Ten with a different A

Seems B may have materialized a little earlier.

Unless A has been getting worse year over year.
In which case it's actually back to B being a problem (since B picks A).

Rotation going forward - play for next year

Not True.Rutgers couldn't stop Iowa from making layups or 3 pointers. On offense Rutgers would need to score a additional 36 points to win the game without the 24 points from Bailey and Harper.Next season the team will be lucky to score 60 points unless some shooters are recruited from the transfer portal.
The lineup sucked last night at one point he had Martini as the tallest guy with no one else taller than 6'5" he continues to play Grant the first 3 minutes especially when he came off his best game and give us rebounding and size; and Dortch also while very limited offensively grabs a lot of boards for the time he is in

Stop with this already. You are great in spending other people's money with the increase you want and you always keep asking for. They have had many increases. Just look at your basketball bill compared to even 5 years ago.

RU gets and will continue to get a ton of money from the Big Ten(Big Ten Network plus other revenue at football and basketball) and that is where the money is and should come from. Football is going to get around 15 million and mens basketball is going to get around 3 million to give to the players next year.

The players that are fortunate enough to get a piece of that money are going to be signing contracts. The real argument is how little the olympic sports and others(meaning women's teams) are going to get. Unfortunately for them, they will be getting very little, comparatively. But, they will be getting more then they deserve for non-revenue teams. Yes, those athletes do work hard, but they will get the short end of the stick. Sorry, but that is the way it should be.

Best of Luck,
Groz

Your leaving out a key point that @Greene Rice FIG is bringing up.

The athletic department is the one spending other people's money.
They have zero interest in controlling their spending.
They already have a huge deficit and just basically 2x (3x?) the football staff salary in less than a year.
As you rightfully point out - increases have already occurred without the additonal "player revenue sharing" cost?

The coaching staffs are already part of "revenue sharing". Does the AD just absorb those costs or keep raising ticket prices?

So what makes you think the AD would just absorb player revenue sharing?
They will keep all their current spending and pass the cost onto the fans through increases.
Because they prey on fans through "well you went here for a couple years so have an obligation to pay extra and keep funding our reckless spending."

From the standpoint of a player/competitor, the season is not over until it’s actually over i.e. even winning out the regular season would not give you a chance at a bid.

If we win out we are likely in and if we absorb one more loss there is still a shot, now obviously this is extremely unlikely but if they are true competitors this is how they should be thinking.
