The talent level "might" be worse? If he gets a better offer, in a better situation, he’s not going to want to stay here. Serviceable Centers command $$$, which we don’t have. After this season, who would want a rerun, especially when the talent level might be worse next year. Not sure about your easily retained assertion, but hope you’re right.
BTW, I don't think it's new that there are students at public universities in financial trouble. And I think this is an important enough need that I have donated to basic needs funds at Rutgers and elsewhere.I know of at least one other large public university that has established a similar center to help students meet basic needs (like food). Many public universities have some students who are living on the edge.
There’s a great point right there. I remember in joining the B1G so many weren’t thinking of winning the Conf, they were like “if we can go 500 we might make the ncaas”. Myself included. Now we see what that takes. And we don’t have the fan base. Maybe RU thought the fanbase would expand after joining. All the B1G cares about is NY market for their Michigans, OH Sts etc. we only have the fanbase for a smaller Conf.then you have answered your question
rutgers does not belong at the big boy table...it belongs in the acc or aac with other schools with small fanbases, limited resources and extremely limited sucess on the field or court. There is nothing this school has done on the court or field to deserve a spot
Without the appropriate support, we’ll have to do without. Now with socialfor basketball to compete they better go out and find them period...its not coming from the aging small fanbase..wake up
