But that’s just it.

The “other stuff” you continue to poo poo in Football and now Basketball IS what makes it different and more importantly makes it OURS.

We all realize the canned stuff is “hear” to stay whether we like it or not.

So I think what many would like to see is more of a balance. With a slight lean to the “ole’ college try” aspect of the experience.

* and obviously not true. since you were outed with your t-shirt begging. LOL
I poo poo it in football because I much prefer canned music over marching bands. That's just my opinion as I like rock/pop/hip-hop way more and I also like high volume music. Many of you disagree, but shouldn't assume this board, which skews much more heavily older than the actual fanbase, is representative of the fanbase. I'd need to see survey results of the fanbase to know for sure.

With hoops, I like both the canned music and the pep band and simply didn't notice some huge change towards more canned music and louder music in game 2 (and I do pay attention). Is someone actually tracking this?

Also, at the end of the day, the music is inconsequential to me, even though I have preferences. They could be playing New Age wind chimes or opera all game and I wouldn't care as long as we were winning or they could play all of my personal favorite songs and that wouldn't make me happy if we were losing.

If we had Cliff...

Although Ogbole is the starter he is only averaging 7.5 minutes a game and doesn’t play at all at the end of the game if it is still close. He might get more minutes if matched up against someone whose size and strength makes matchups a problem. For now I think the comparison is Cliff and Lathan vs Lathan, Martini and Ogbole. That being said Cliff will be missed, but if Lathan, Martini and Ogbole can keep the center spot from being a glaring weakness, the improvements at other position will put this team in a position where they can be very good!

Lathan wasn’t in at the end against St Peters. Zach played center down the stretch. My guess is Ogbole will have to play more against bigger teams with stronger centers. I guess we’ll see soon enough.

Basketball Rutgers Basketball holds off Saint Peter's with late defensive surge

Rogue stream, you didn’t see the random Indian lady sitting there after the game was over? LOL

Not joking, I almost pissed myself when it happened.

We have two NBA lottery pics, pretty sure all these games will be easy to track down somewhere
I saw her and was wondering what was going on. Pretty funny. Wonder how long it went on? I turned it off after a minute or so.

Find out who’s in charge of game day ops. They’ve gone in this direction in the past 10 (20?) years. The organic experience is a thing of the past. Now you can’t have a timeout without some kind of gimmick. Baseball is worse: after EVERY pitch (at least at Citi Field) you’ll hear some kind of music clip or crowd engagement blasting over the PA. It’s as if they assume everyone has ADHD and needs redirection every 30 seconds. The PA announcer him/herself has little to say anymore outside the intro for the national anthem and player intros.

OT: 2024 CFB TV ratings

Since sportsmedia watch only had the article above and didn't post week 10 tv ratings in a table (don't know if they will or not going foward), I found another place that has a table. Can't copy/paste this one but here's the link to the table showing week 10 ratings.

Wondered if the election being last week impacted the normal business practices for that Sportsmedia’s site, or they just immediately changed their way of reporting things.

If we had Cliff...

It's not a Cliff vs Lathan debate. It's Cliff + Lathan > Ogbole + Lathan which isn't debatable

Also Cliff fits this year's team better than any other year

GAME 2 SAINT PETER'S: Learning to Fly

They are incomplete players. It would be great if one of JMike, JWill or Dercack emerged as a competent outside shooter. But a more likely path to success is Bailey plays that role and Martini and Hayes get more minutes.
I hear you.......Hayes has a good offensive half and grabs rebounds in 1st half, but what happens at halftime.....

RU gives up 42 points and Pike says that's enough. Hayes was the 9th (last) guy that played in the 2nd half and got only 5 1/2 minutes.........of course Rutgers plays better in the 2nd half because we hold St. Peters to 23 points.

One thing lost in the shuffle about Saturday

Aha! So it’s all your fault? 😀

I have a leak that has been extremely hard to find and fix. Is in an older part of the house that has hardwood board sheathing instead of plywood. Probably gonna have to rip some of it out and replace with plywood and new shingles.
Leaks are usually due to poor installation rather than the materials themselves. Make sure you use a good underlayment and a leak barrier at the joints. Plywood by itself will not prevent leaks.
