OT: WNBA on track to lose $40 million

Now here’s a phrase I’ve never heard before! This board never ceases to amaze me
In case you havent noticed, they are quite successful, have a big fan base and it's very possible someone who lived in CT may have drifted south and crossed the border into our state. And in all actuality, without naming anybody, there's a good chance you know him from your high school days.

Syracuse targeting Jersey players

While Al has not earned being given a break, on this one, give him a break. Fran Brown was hired BECAUSE Syracuse saw its best years were when they basically split New Jersey talent with Penn State and Notre Dame way back when dinosaurs roamed the earth... before national recruiting was a thing for EVERYONE. Syracuse wanted to return to what once worked for them so they hired Fran Brown.

They had lost influence in New Jersey when they fired Paul Pasqualoni.. again, back when T-Rex walked the earth. They want it back.

Too bad.. they cannot have it.
Give Al a break for coming on our RUTGERS forum and telling us about Brown's ground breaking recruiting strategy? Is it really relevant to post that Fran Brown is targeting his home state/back yard for recruits? Even worse, he has not secured one top 20 NJ player!!

The Knight’s Plume

Thought exactly the same thing when I saw it Saturday. Didn't notice it last night probably because we were white knuckling it vs. St. Peter's.

The intent was good, but the execution was off. You could also make the case that it was a Good Humor Bomb Pop.
Thanks Pete! I knew people in the stands Saturday who thought the same as well. Not the end of the world but just a "WTF?" kinda thing IMHO.

GAME 2 SAINT PETER'S: Learning to Fly

Partially...yes. To me what this team needs is Dercack and JWill to knock down some 3s so they can play and not be offensive liabilities
They are incomplete players. It would be great if one of JMike, JWill or Dercack emerged as a competent outside shooter. But a more likely path to success is Bailey plays that role and Martini and Hayes get more minutes.

I do...but that's a French flag...bottom line. Obviously the INTENTION wasn't that, I get it, but that's all I saw when looking at him both Saturday and again tonight lol!

Tyreem Powell- Good Read

If he has the health to play at close to his normal level for the final 3 games, I like our chances to go bowling.
Agreed. It might feel strange to some.. the effect that a single defensive player can have.. but our D has always been based on that bend-but-not-break flavor.. where getting that sack or TFL that puts the O in a very difficult situation to make a first down will stop their drive and get us back the ball.. eventually. And a single defensive player playing a singularly great play can make all the difference.

Lathan Sommerville/Rashod Kent

Kent more coordinated, even as a frosh. Sommerville clumsy, only occasionally effective against low level bigs.

Hopefully he develops a lot, here.

Huh? Did you miss the play where he received the outlet pass on a break, spun around a defender, crossed under the basket and laid the ball in with english? A clumsy person would have not have pulled that off.
