He needs to hit a home run for a forwardby pressing us with 5 players in our final third, UCLA was essentially signaling that there is not a player on our team which scares them. that was a tough one to watch.
Tiernan being out definitely hurt...but not sure it changes anything.
hats off to UCLA...every girl on that team is a soccer player. in contrast, we have 3-4 girls who seem to have high soccer IQ.
Mike needs to continue recruiting outside of the PDA sphere...too many of those girls made their hay being on teams which are waaaaay better than the comp, and are just good athletes (big and/or fast). we need more complete soccer players. Find more players like Tsokos and Baran please. And of course Bradley
I actually feel like he is making the pivot, so I am completely good with him continuing to chop away for a few more years. the future is bright. But to take the next step to be elite, we need more players at the UCLA / USC level.
he's going to need to hit 2 home runs with 2 impact CBs.
oh...one more thing...fitness, fitness, fitness. this needs to be a focus for this team in the offseason. too many of our women are simply not in great shape (not trying to be offensive...I genuinely mean this respectfully). and I am not just talking about top-end speed (that's an issue as well). But we're not fit in some very key positions...at this level, that is simply unacceptable.
hopefully this blowout doesnt impact our seeding.
That's on Greg. He seems to be so afraid that our returner will cough up the ball; he plays it insanely and head-scratching cautiously.Free kick was a line drive with no hang time
There wasn’t a player within 30 plus yards of returner
I get it, but I don't think it's necessary, and thus don't feel the need to add new rules. We need a small adjustment with the 3×3 OT - when you enter the offensive zone, you can't purposely exit it to reset, you gotta stay in the zone.
He lost 17-2 to Composto, got pinned by Ryan Jack and lost 5-2 to Illinois depth guy Baysingar. Maybe he is still a little small for 141, but some on here over rate him because of his close loss to Bartlett....he is around 500 in career so far. You need to beat top 50 wrestlers, not lose close matches to top 50 wrestlers. What were the scores? Great experience though.

Thanks for this!Watch Schiano’s presser… he explained it…
In short, they had a guest speaker this week who was a Navy Seal who told the team a story about a drill they did in training. The drill/experience centered on a team of five seals overcoming obstacles and having to work as one in order to get to “ the other side” of a field or room. The story was very inspirational for the team to hear.
That became a theme for the week and after the game Schiano wanted the team to get on the other side of the field to bring the work full circle.
Certainly not 22% lol. If he's only shooting the wide-open ones I'd say at least 33-35%, otherwise teams won't guard him on the perimeter and it mucks up the whole spacing (esp. if he's playing alongside JWill and Ogbole)What's adequate?
Last season he shot 22%.
