If we go winless the rest of the season, and the games are not close…

You might not be going anywhere soon, but trolls like you cause other posters to leave sites like this, due to not wanting to be constantly bombarded with the drivel your multiple screen names post under.
How am I trolling?
I’ve got guys attacking me for my views on Schiano

it’s a message board where people give opinions - not some groupthink, everybody hold hands and sing a Lulabye situation

I have season tix
I donate to KOR
I take the time to be both emotionally and financially invested in this program

I’ll be damned if I’m going to sit idly by while others, many of whom have no idea about anything related to football, care more about losing their Parking spots rather than losing games, and can’t be bothered to donate a dime to NIL, run their mouths bc they have a higher post count or are older and have been here through the good times and bad

I want to win - it’s not about making friends, who’s popular or any of that shit - for me, it’s about winning

HUGE win on so many levels….

If Schiano went down this path and the following year he had a losing season you would be calling for him to be fired. Saying it wasn't a good move in not building a program! Stop your nonsense!

If you offer any Rutgers fan out there the opportunity for

A) win 10+ games and complete for (and make) the playoff once every 8 years. But the other 7 years you get 4 losing seasons and 3 mediocre bowl games.

Or

B) you get 8 seasons with 2 losing seasons and 6 mediocre bowl games . Best season is 7 or 8 regular season wins.

Which one you taking ?!

B1G Bowl slots

From:

Big 10 Bowl Ties, Affiliation

One other twist: the former Pac-12 teams - Oregon, UCLA, USC, Washington - will remain eligible for the former Pac-12 bowl ties and affiliations. That means if any of those four aren't in the College Football Playoff, they'll be eligible for the Alamo, Independence, Holiday, LA, Las Vegas, and Sun bowls.

Consider it a mortal lock that the Big Ten champion is in the College Football Playoff, and almost certainly with one of the top four spots with a bye.

The Big Ten alternates with the SEC between the Las Vegas Bowl and Duke's Mayo Bowl. Last season Northwestern beat Utah in the Las Vegas, so assume the Big Ten will be in the Duke's Mayo.

This is the expected Big Ten bowl pecking order, but keep in mind that 1) several of the top teams in the expanded 20-team conference will be in the College Football Playoff and 2) there might be a LOT more Big Ten bowl tie-ins and affiliations coming as the season goes on.

- Cheez-It Citrus Bowl vs SEC
- ReliaQuest Bowl vs SEC
- Duke's Mayo Bowl vs ACC
- Music City Bowl vs SEC
- Pinstripe Bowl vs ACC
- Guaranteed Rate Bowl vs Big 12
- Quick Lane Bowl vs MAC

B1G Bowl slots

All of the Pac-12 affiliated bowls are in play for the former member schools in other conferences, along with Oregon State and Washington State.
- Holiday Bowl vs ACC
- LA Bowl vs Mountain West
- Las Vegas Bowl vs SEC
- Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl vs Big 12
- Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl vs ACC
- Valero Alamo Bowl vs Big 12

Figure that Oregon will be a Playoff team. Colorado has the inside track to play for the Big 12 Championship. Stanford is already disqualified with 7 Losses. Arizona has 6 losses and will need to win their remaining games. That leaves Arizona State (already qualifies), Washington State (already qualifies), and Cal, Oregon State, UCLA, USC, Utah, and Washington eligible for these bowls, all of which have 5 losses except for Cal. It will work itself out over the remaining 3 weeks.

What’s nonsense ?
That’s where we are now ! But we haven’t had a 2006 type season to enjoy. We just enjoy the downside of a “non sustainable” framework of roster builds.

HUGE win on so many levels….

Agree, it is a new world so no one knows what is sustainable. Maybe they will live with the transfer portal, and develop as system and staff to maximize it for them year after year. The coach obviously can bring a new group together and get them to work as a team.

Sustainable doesn’t even matter.
They are there. They’re doing it. They are having the type of season we would all trade our souls for.

If unsustainable means they are right back to battling to make middle of the road bowl games after this , well that seems to be what 5 years of “development” gets you anyways.

So it doesn’t even matter if it’s sustainable. It’s happening.

I dont understand this mentality. You’re projecting the best season in their program history isn’t sustainable?? So what ?! They are enjoying a once in a multi/generation experience. What about Deion and How bad CO was ? Getting prime tv slots every single weekend now.

Enough of the old program building BS we are telling ourselves. We are building and sustaining a very very mediocre or below mediocre program. Took us 5 years to get here. Teams have collapsed and re-risen during our “build” time frame. It doesn’t work like this anymore.
