In no universe does a healthy Harper or Bailey get under 32 MPG.....after that anything is possible.

PJ Hayes can be found not good enough defensively and a shooting slump sends him to the bench
Zach Martini can be found overmatched at the 5 and a lot of guards deserving minutes pushing Bailey to 4
JaMike Dercack JWill all are guys with somewhat similar games (good and bad) and it is possible 2 takes the minutes of the 3rd
Acuff doesn't look great now and he could be last man out
Ogobole can find himself in the doghouse real quick
Sommerville can be undersized and overmatched at this level

We have 10 guys in the rotation and if 8 show to be well ahead of 9 and 10 then any of these players could get DNPs. That is actually a BULLISH RU take
You are so defensive minded you cannot see the Forest thru the trees. Today’s basketball and successful basketball and efficient basketball means you have to put points on the board. PJ and Zack are 2 of our best , most efficient shooters and must get the appropriate shots ( PJ needs10 and Zack 6-8) both from 2 and from 3. They will play more minutes period. They are also not liabilities defensively.

48 Years Ago Today: The Gales of November Remembered

On this day in 1975 the SS Edmund Fitzgerald, an ore carrier and the largest ship in the Great Lakes, was lost with all 29 hands on board during a storm on Lake Superior.

The exact mechanism of the Fitz's sinking is still unknown. What is known is that both the Edmund Fitzgerald and the Arthur M. Anderson, another ore carrier in the vicinity, reported winds in excess of gale force and significant wave heights in excess of 30 feet. The Fitz was rolling heavily and additionally reported an improperly sealed loading hatch which was causing the vessel to take on water.

It was only a year later that Gordon Lightfoot, while recording his Summertime Dream album, penned the lyrics to his most commercially successful song, The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Most fans of the late Gord know that on recording day he played the song's basic chord progression for his band, which was followed by an improvisational run-through. That "second take" is what appears on the album.

Another year.

Rough Saturday night in the Big Ten

Minnesota barely beats Omaha 68-64. It’s a one-man band up there with Dawson Garcia scoring 24 points.

Nebraska barely beats Bethune-Cookman 63-58 as the Huskers shot 19-55 (4-22). (Gavin with 3 points FYI).

Northwestern loses at Dayton 71-66 after holding a 32-24 lead at halftime. Nick Martinelli (32 points) shouldering the load without injured Brooks Barnhizer, and with Ty Berry struggling again (0 points on 0-5 shooting) as the primary SG.

Washington loses at Nevada 63-53. Great Osobor was not so great, with just 3 points on 0-7 shooting.

Before last night, the Big Ten was 27-1, with the lone loss being #22 UCLA losing at home 72-64 to New Mexico on Friday night. The Bruins had a woeful shooting night (20-55, 5-23) and had a whopping 21 turnovers.

Just one bad night, I know.

OT: New York Yankees 2024-2025 Off Season Thread

I'm sure some of that has to do with the pitching. Ever pitcher coming out of pen throws 100. The game changes over time. Some errors are pitching and defense, others are HR's. IMO it's hard to compare today's game to the 90's. How different was the 90's game to the 60's?

And regarding steroids, don't forget the pitchers. Could you imagine how hard these guys would be throwing if they were juiced up also.
ERAs have been pretty consistent over the years. A few just under 4.00 but most have been low to mid 4.00s so even though more pitchers are throwing at or over 100, hitters have caught up.
You can stick your head in the sand if you wish but there is no denying the players swing changes have become more of an upswing then ever before. It's not a secret, everyone is talking about it. It increases home runs but destroys average and increases strikeouts.
Guys like Paul O'Neill and Don Mattingly (among many others) had exaggerated practice swings showing they were trying to put a downswing on the ball.

If we go winless the rest of the season, and the games are not close…

If schiano or any Rutgers can do what Ferentz has done at Iowa , we would sign for that in a second .

Schiano is not getting fired anytime
Soon . I get your passion. , but you are wasting energy in your fingers typing it
Actually I think Schiano CAN do what Ferentz has done at Iowa. I sometimes think Ferentz is GS’s role model or template
