OT: Penn State maybe not so BIG in the future.

I will give Pittsburgh that it's cool for a small city, the food is good, the views/hilliness are interesting and the COL is very low relative to most if not all other major US cities.

I did not feel unsafe once there.

I would feel safer there than Philly.
Agree 100 %
The most underrated east coast city IMO (if you consider it EC, some consider it Midwest)

Oakland is a cool neighborhood, especially to go to school in (Pitt)
Only downfall is no on campus stadium (wish they would have redone the old Pitt Stadium) so taking busses to Heinz isn't ideal

OT: New RU President By April 25

Good article, but I really take exception to this:

Bullshit. He started in April of 2012, the announcement of our entrance occurred in November, so it was well underway before he came upon the scene. Besides, his sole focus when he initially came in was merging the medical school into the university
Going by this article and my memory I'd say you hit the nail on the head
>According to Delany, talks between Rutgers and the Big Ten have been ongoing for three to four years, and the league's addition of the Penn St. Nittany Lions in '93 helped begin the process of moving to the Mid-Atlantic.<

OT: WOW… Pete Rose has died at the age of 83

Don’t know why people want to put in a degenerate gambler into the Hall of Fame when the clear rule of gambling on the sport was always communicated.

I also don’t understand why this president would focus on “pardoning” Rose when he was never convicted of federal crimes. You would think there are other big problems to work on in the first month in office- like the cost of groceries and a crumbling economy.
I want to put him in the Hall of Fame because he has more hits than anyone else.

And he was convicted of federal crimes.

Number 2 - my question is- was Rose actually convicted of a crime in regard to his gambling?
Number 3 - don’t get me started on the kneeling. Just another grand stand on part of the political groups to change the narrative to fit agendas that had nothing to do with what was actually being protested.
I think he plead guilty to some form of tax evasion (presumably not reporting gambling winnings as income). He spent a couple months in prison in the early 1990s.

Losing Cliff cost us the NCAA Tournament

Michigan ate our lunch inside all game long as Goldin was unsolicited, and ended up with 22 points. Their rebounding edge was 38-27. Just a common theme for this season. Cliffs toughness and leadership is dearly missed.

Look at all our close losses and the difference is Cliffs impact.
Yes cliff left and I do agree it hurt us, but there were quite a few games last year that Cliff got torched by the other teams center and I am not just talking about Edey - he could not defend Reese, Crowl and Payne both had great games against him also. He was a great shot blocker, but not a good all around defender. Lathan is a true freshman and we keep comparing him to a 5th year player.

Big Board update

#FakeNews

I've heard on good authority (this board) that Ace and Dylan have had their draft prospects continuously drop over the course of the season.

CBB fans are clearly more tuned in than professionals who get paid to talk to teams and have actual insight into player draft evaluation and ranking.

Also - why is Flagg still there? Didn't he read the out context Flagg quote about returning for a 2nd year that some CBB fans completely misunderstood?

OT: New ACC Deal To Reward Clemson and FSU?

Looks like Clemson and FSU got most of what they wanted and the lesser programs agreed because they know if the ACC lost them , power conference status might be lost and they'd suffer more financially then
giving up some shared revenue now would..
North Carolina and Miami will benefit, but I bet after capitulating to FSU and Clemson to keep those programs in the fold Miami & North Carolina won't be as loyal to the ACC and would sue to leave if the B1G or SEC let them know , through a trusted 3rd party , there was a spot available for them if they wanted to become a member.
In my opinion this is a short term solution and will be an incentive to leave for the programs that might be able to get a B1G/SEC membership when those conferences decide the time is right to expand.

No no we need to focus on the big issues, like ending funding for cancer research and removing "transition" from websites about ending homelessness, and being sure to endorse criminality along the way while loving our dear allies like Russia and Belarus and showing our mortal enemies Canada and Denmark what's what!

And then claiming ending a contract that was cancelled in 2005 a savings!
