Rutgers begins Big Ten Conference action this weekend with back-to-back road matches at No. 24 Indiana in Bloomington and No 4 Ohio State in Columbus

That is my favorite almost win of all. Overall, the guys did great against a top team. Peterson is wrestling as he should and is capable. Shawver showed signs of last year. Hermes was thrown to the wolves - didn't matter who we had in. Harer did great and showed his potential. Barbosa was the right choice for tonight as was Walsh. Turley spent too much time defending. Poz, great win. Yara-Slav took one shot and was taken down. He has to show offense or won't have any chance of AA again. Team far exceeded expectations. Congratulations to Goodale for a great showing.

Great dual meet. Our guys wrestled with a lot of guts and left their hearts out there. We didn't get the win but a lot was gained from that performance. Kudos to Goody for getting them prepped this weekend. They looked great.

It's hard to feel like our Athletics are not cursed.

Proud of the young men and how they wrestled today. This is the most competitive we have been against a top team since I have ever started watching Rutgers wrestling.

A lot to feel good about today despite losing like this.

NIL killed college hoops its now professional hoops

Of course I dont think that.
But I don't think Ace is mailing it in either.

You dont think every player has the attitude "f it, I'll mail it in this season, and if the team sucks, I will get paid anyway?"
I would suggest some people do.

Well if a player under contract can mail it in - why couldn't a coach?
So my hypothetical doesn't apply to you
But it does for others.

It's not a false equivalent at all.
Both people are under a guaranteed contract regardless of team results.

Someone with only a 1 year expiring contract has less incentive to mail it in than someone under a multi-year contract for much more guaranteed years.
Why do you constantly compare the dynamics of the players’ situation to the coaches?

As if it’s players vs coaches…?

They are in different positions. Literally and relatively.

BTW, if the players are getting shafted so badly. Any of these kids are welcome to apply for a coaching position instead of a roster spot, if they feel that’s in their best interest.

Instead of “but the coaches” how about we hear about why more 19 YOs are getting shafted on their status as a coaching candidate.

So much fun to watch Barkley running around for 119 yards without even sweating and then being happy all over the place for Eagles.

NYGs were/are just so dead.

And while he might not have been a fit with the Giants, he surely justified being a #2 pick in that draft. I'd only put Josh Allen ahead of him, and his pick was called risky.
