Man’s win tonight

Bailey's overall game has gotten so much more complete, his rebounding and play around the rim has added a huge plus to the team, obviously a team guy and a very coachable kid, with an absolutely positive attitude. Great Court presence on the last play where he gets the ball to a wide open Grant before they can foul him. Ogbole has actually become a serviceable rebounder with a significant improvement at both ends of the court.

Basketball Rutgers Basketball stuns Nebraska on the road with three-point barrage

Well, we still don't box out ... and we might as well shoot FTs blindfolded ...

but the refs screwed us and we still had more points than they did.
Did u not see Ace take like 6 steps w/o a walk call?? He got the Lebron treatment and we were spared a crucial turnover

Also Minnesota up to 120 is huge. Now i expect them to likely slide a bit again but them being a Q3 game as opposed to Q4 is a big factor. Have to make sure that q123 mark is above 500. All our games left will be. 4-8 plus 9-4 gets us to 13-12 before any big 10 tournament game. Yes there are exceptions but you want to be 500 or above when all is said and done
The most Rutgers thing ever would be turning this season around, going 8-4 and then playing Minnesota last game in a must win game and losing that game……I have seen that movie before. In all honesty, I might take that scenario as we would at least be watching meaningful basketball the rest of the way.

OT: New York Mets 2024-2025 Off Season Thread

I don't think Alonso's issue is the money as much as the years

I'm sure if we offered like 4 / 100 or 110 he'd do it

Stearns wants to move on from him so that Vientos and Mauricio can both start on the regular.
Mauricio is currently a doubt to start the year healthy so don't think so.

The market is the market. If Pete were getting years or the money he wants he'd sign. He's obviously not at this point.

Best since 07-08 when Torvik's site starts and it's not even close (adj O 147.2, I don't think there is another one over 140)
Looks like the 2020 game against Illinois was the next highest at 137.3. That was the Young and Harper show (24 and 28 points), Miles Johnson pulled in 6 ORB against Kofi Cockburn, and they had a 58.1% FT rate. Illinois was an elite defensive team (8th) which led to a 13 point adjustment.

Circling back to your point - with Grant and Ace on the court together, Martini was a fine choice to insert for those filler minutes alongside two guards (mostly J Will with Jordan spotting - I personally would not play Davis with a smaller front court line up as he’s a poor rebounding guard - but JWill and Jordan together offer enough depth with Dylan as a rotation). That line up would’ve been fine for the stretches without Ogbole.

I still think with no Ogbole or Lathan on the floor is puts Ace at more risk of picking up fouls.

Ace wants to block every shot and already struggles a bit staying on his feet and avoid fouls.

With a small lineup he needs to play bigger so you’re probably going to increase his risk of fouling and he was borderline foul trouble all night. If he picked up that extra foul at any point it completely changes the game.

Latan’s defense was pretty weak last night but it wasn’t just him. Nebraska had a few runs where it seemed like nobody was defending well including guys like Dylan, Grant, Dercack.

In the end Sommerville only played 15 minutes. I don’t think sitting him a whole half is the answer. We need to keep giving him some opportunity to grow and develop. There’s gonna be games where Ogbole is off and we’ll need him.

NCAA Revenue Sharing

That’s because that is not financial assistance. Guaranteed the “walking around money” is small enough it is able to portrayed a something like a per diem replacing meals they miss.
that's exactly what it is but its whether they miss or not. men get 800 gift card per semester plus 1750 per year stipend. Girls get $12 a week in season only. lol

Court level chirping at Nebraska

Several times during the telecast you could clearly and audibly hear court level $hit stirring. Dylan Grant in particular was talking a lot and making his presence felt with blocks and bodying

And Pike — he’s calling out our guys by name, willing them to raise themselves to that next level.

“Cmon Ace!”
“Cmon Dylan!”

It’s incredible. Gotta keep building on whatever this mojo is. Keep chirping.
On the block in 2nd half you could hear Grant yell “ Give me that $hit)

Loved it

“Grant”-ed. It’s time to make the move.

Grant is really growing throughout the season, and it's great to see. Huge upside, and he's playing much more comfortably and within himself on the court. Defense improving, decision making improving. Looking forward to big things from him.
