Login to view embedded media@SF88 has a classic story of when Schiano came back And part of his deal was the helicopter. Someone gave it a nickname & Steve-O designed some shirts with the helicopter coming in for a landing, the Block R on the side of the helicopter, sideways because the helicopter was, you know, coming in for the landing.
Rutgers wouldn't approve the shirt until the R was straight. So the shirts were produced with a nose in landing helicopter & a straight up R
🤦🤦🤦
This interesting take showed up in my YouTube feed yesterday. I agree with this coach 💯.Also, they might be a bit tone deaf - not sure after the last 2 weeks is a great time to promote your prowess in supporting a student athlete. Yikes.
It's what I said all along when apparently the B1G was going to make this a mandatory thing...volunteer for it.I hope we open every season with a Friday (and occasionally Thursday) night home game before Labor Day weekend.
It makes sense on many levels.
TV window availability on BTN; nice evening temps as opposed to baking in the hot sun during the game; long afternoon tailgating to kick off the season; less interference with holiday weekend travel plans; etc.
Exactly. More important for the Thursday (which I don't like anyway) but the 8 is still better than the 6.But I would prefer 8 pm to 6pm kickoff
Announcers said he looked ok in practice 🤷🏻♂️No one should’ve been surprised he couldn’t play. You have a full week of practice and warmups. Why was the outcome of how’d he look a surprise.
You practice like you play, if he wasn’t full go in practice (my assumption), sit him until he’s full go.
The team that got Pike fired! The team is running out of games and excuses for the 10-10 record with so many of the tougher games yet to be played. How will this team be remembered five/ten years from now?
Can make a $200 doantion to the team and get a nice hat and a Johnnie-O T shirt and QuarterzipTheir gear or for sale?
Definitely not fondlyThe team is running out of games and excuses for the 10-10 record with so many of the tougher games yet to be played. How will this team be remembered five/ten years from now?
Absolutely. A couple decent teams, which RU apparently has struggled with, and a collection of teams that are struggling. I would suggest 3 to 6 wins might be doable.I truly believe all remaining games are winnable, will we win all, NO, but this is actually the easiest few games we have.
We will be lucky to finish above 500 for the season.I think many are in my position on this and I didn't say anything that wasn't true with regard to our record with a healthy Harper. Also, I didn't say we were going to win the B1G tourney, but I do think we can win a few there and obviously, there's some small chance we could sweep it.
Dercack had a great game and would never have happened if Dylan was healthy.Derkack's 'big game' today made up for the 26 pts Martini and Grant combined for out in Nebraska. Dylan had 21 vs Nebraska.
Did you watch Gavin Griffith pull up from 8 feet beyond the arc for an entire season last year? It’s not the venue !Guys aren't shooting 6 feet behind tge 3 point line if played at tge RAC
What gives you the idea that there’s a chance he won’t play? That’s nuts! You are, by far, the most optimistic person on the outlook for remainder of season. This team isn't winning the Big Ten Tournament. Harper will likely be "banged up" rest of season, and there is probably some chance he doesn't even suit up again for RU. Even if he does, he's going to be rusty. And the other guys on this team like Martini, Acuff, JMike, JWill, Hayes...they have given literally zero reason for optimism....night in night out playing terrible ball. Plus with Ogbole done now we just lost a big body who was starting to grab boards.
I agree, posted in another thread I wish the season was on a dvr recording and could just fast forward to the end to see how it ended. It’s pretty sad , frustrating and miserable that we aren’t even 2/3 way through what was supposed to be the most incredible Rutgers basketball season of our lifetimes and now I’m not even sure if I want to watch how this flame quietly burns out.
Maybe Dercack who has not shot well all year, shots don’t go down.RU prob would’ve shot a bit better from 3 if game was at RAC. Pro arenas often times have lower shooting percentages for college teams. Maybe a cou-of of Acuff or Martini good looks go down
What’s Pike’s record the last two years at the Rac vs the Big ten? It’s forgotten and just another loss. The jollies of a game at the Garden are worthless. The irony of this case being a show case was such a disaster. Dylan plays 14 minutes and Ace has arguably his worst game. Despite all this we lost by 7. It’s a win at the RAC!
Nothing wrong with this and it's what should be happening. Good move. But not who I was inferring. They work with the SP and Homeland Security, which is good enough. Point is, everything is planned, they don't just arbitrarily set staffing levels.
The New Jersey State Police conducted a high-visibility security operation in the Rutgers University area on Thursday, ahead of the school’s homecoming game this weekend. The effort involved multiple units, including the Target Hardening Unit, Tactical Patrol Units from Troops “D” and “C,” the Outreach Unit, Commercial Vehicle Inspection Unit, and the Mounted Unit.
While no specific threats have been identified, the Homeland Security Initiative is part of the state police’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety of the community during large events. The operation is a proactive measure to create a secure environment for students, residents, and attendees.
Authorities reminded the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation in maintaining safety.
This. No cutting. No movingThe offense is frustrating. Again you see MSU constantly swinging the ball, players cutting, moving and screening. Our offense, too often players standing around and the ball sits or moves but very little players cutting or screening. Just moving the ball around the perimeter and someone hoisting a contested shot.
