Has RU EVER outrecruited PSU? Year to year they're OSU, Michigan level. It's called winning big games, like it or not.

It wasn't that long ago RU was finishing 15th or 16th out of 16 in B1G recruiting. Now it's up to 8th or 9th out of 18 in '25. ON3 has RU 7th nationally and 2nd in the B1G in transfer portal roster improvement.

Shelby wouldn’t call it a Frankenstein roster. Frankenstein has useful traits. This is a ‘festering, dog diarrhea in August’ roster. No ambiguity.

Shelby can’t find suitable words to describe what next year’s roster looks like so far.

Grant is the only legit plausible Big10 starter on the roster now, including Sommerville.

Yep. People can make fun of the Costco boys all you want. They’re social media stars and some of the most viral content creators right now. Inviting one of them to a match is an innovative way to connect to people who otherwise might not know a thing about college wrestling.

Other than that I see two freshman who are good enough to be major pieces on a good team (and yes this includes Ace now who has improved dramatically but this unfortunately had coincided with Harper being unable to play effectively) and a bunch of other players who are emphatically not. Michigan State has 8 players that are better than our third best player and those players are not the ones who supposedly can't be coached because they are going to the NBA next year.

Exactly. What “coaching” is Ace not listening to?
I must have missed where the rest of the team is shooting 3s all game but Ace is shooting mid-range 2s and messing up the plan.

If anything, Ace is following the coaching perfectly.
Every year we are towards the bottom of the Big Ten in 3pt attempts.

Does anyone really think the staff is looking at advanced offensive analytics and telling the players where they should and should not be shooting based on their particular heat maps? Or getting players shots in the spots they excel at?

Touchdown Jesus left the National Championship game early and was no help when he was needed most.
Also the final score made it look like God wasn't smiling down on the imitation Irish

As for RU : I say it's the devil's work that chaos usually shows up when the program starts looking like it is becoming one to be proud of .

Yea obviously, but he was there and it was still obvious (and the results were such) that even if he didn’t miss a single play, this team was very unlikely to make the dance.

And nobody is going to look back and care being quite blunt. We don’t get another chance at it. The opportunity to dramatically change the ceiling and course of the program will be gone.

The new prez will have a lot on the plate but with athletics a priority I expect the AD search to commence soon after the new prez starts.

Let's say the AD search takes 3 months. Then, Rutgers will welcome the new AD in early 2026.

This. In addition to Strong and Duff returning we have several very highly recruited WRs coming in. Look for immediate impacts from 2 of them. This group will be as good or better than the 2006 unit.
