Of course not. I’m just pointing out that until it’s impossible to make the tournament, that should be the goal and presumed best possible outcome however much a long shot.

Grant was not worthless. He blocked 1-2 shots , got some rebounds and his 3 point shooting came around just a little hitting 1 early second half and one after he was bright back in. Martini did what again? Right , a truly worthless performance.

It all depends on how you define drastically. As for the ivies and where we strive to be, not impressed. The ivies are a one bid league mostly. Any real p4 coach doesn’t tremble at the ivies. Any complements are polite lip service

I am judging them on who they are today. A team that has a chance to win the Ivys for the third straight year. Do you really think thry are a terrible team ? If so , go ask every Ivy League opposing coach , then go ask all the Power 4 coaches that are scared to schedule them. Then report back. You are acting like they are a terrible team which is the further thing from the truth and I am telling you they are not a team that drastically hurts our NET.

I mean yes technically 40 is half of 80 but that makes it sound like a much bigger difference than it is, like I said the difference between #40 and #80 in kenpom is less than 5 points per game.

Jackson Memorial has been a power house in Wrestling and Football over the years and some very good baseball teams as well. From what I've heard, the Memorial building is in bad shape and some of that can be used for Freshman. Dual enrollment will be used with the newer Liberty HS taking on 10th11th and 12th grade. Very similar to what Old Bridge HS did in combining Cedar Ridge HS with Madison Central HS.

The defensive drop off by Jeremiah , JMike and Jordan ,the NEC defensive player of the year is drastic.
Jeremiah slips and slides , commits needless and low IQ fouls , has gotten beat repeatedly and rarely plays straight up defense send gets a steal.
JMike has regressed badly. He is never in the other point guard’s grill. Gets picked so easily on pick and roll and doesn’t fight over screens and hasn’t closed out on 3 point shooters. He is routinely getting beat off the dribble . You literally could not play much worse.
Jordan gets lost on defense a lot and I’d terrible on close outs drifting too far allowing too many open threes. Yes , he hustled and he rebounds but was expecting a smarter more consistent player and instead a lot of low IQ plays and a lot of careless turnovers. Let’s hope MSU gives him the confidence to end strong.

You would think Pike could have coached a little better down the stretch, allowing Martini to get switched onto Lee 3 straight times.

Interesting. Don’t think I really ever pay attention to his weight and wonder if it also contributed to some of the durability issues he faced the season.

Losing to the #130 team on a neutral floor implies you performed at a #131 or worse level. It's not going to single-handedly torpedo your NET but it certainly isn't going to help.
