Because pJ Hayes sucks and belongs back at the school he transferred from. He cannot stay in front of someone to save his life on defense and on offense he just now discovered a pump fake at the 3 line but can't finish anyway. He has no business here.

The laundry list of excuses I have seen this season, holy shit open your eyes. He is done man. Barring a miracle this guy is done here in 14 months.

Whom do you think the coach is going to fundraise from, big donors who are fans! If the court club isn’t going to support, then who is going to support? The Court Club should be first in line. Otherwise we should all pack it in.

The subpar product is directly related to our inability to bring in transfers who can contribute. Hopefully that won’t be the case next year.

I don't get the RAC is dead stuff, at all. Similarly bad teams have looked similarly bad at the RAC because they're similarly bad. The most comparable RU squads in KenPom rating to this year’s team are Mike Rice’s first year (2010-2011, 78th KP) and Gary Waters’ last year (2005-06, 71 KP)

2010-11: 10-6 (2-6 in BE play) at the RAC. loss to 13-18 Seton Hall, best win vs. (28) Villanova.

2005-06: 12-5 (4-4) at the RAC. Losses to (94) Charlotte, (117) St. John’s and (79) Providence. Best win is (36) Marquette at home.

Was the RAC dead after those seasons? The atmosphere sucked last night, but that has more to do with the performance being completely uninspired than anything being irrevocably broken, in my opinion.

Darkcheck, for me it's 55/45. First of all, Pikiell failed to bring in B1G type players that are tough as nails and willing to defend as well as score. With that stated, however, it's Pikiell and his coaching staff that have failed the players and us, the fans. Pikiell is absolutely clueless on how to run an offense. He relies on Brandon Knight, whose offense, IMO, is no offense at all. A few high ball screens and not real cutting and guys just standing on the perimeter is NOT an offense.

One would think after 32 years of coaching, Pikiell would have learned something, anything about how to run an offense. As a player, coach, and student of the game, I've seen better offenses run at the high school level. What we have here is an abomination.

I realize Pikiell will definitely be around next year and possibly the year after. But his failure this season, and I mean FAILURE, has crushed my spirit.

The guy has been pretty much a failure with two lottery picks. You have to be nuts to contribute hard earned money until he's gone.

Damn bac you are a broke man. Princeton game broke me. I knew we were done and that Pike was basically completely fvcked as a coach.

You just don't come back from going .500 and missing the tournament with two NBA lottery picks. That's a fireable offense. I think he is gone in another year.

Still not sure I understand this. Dylan and Ace were guaranteed their NIL money from Fanatics and whoever else. In addition they got to split the $1M from the Vegas Tourney? That's crazy!
If that $1 M went into the NIL basketball collective, it could have financed some significant improvements.
We have another $1M coming next year. That should be used in the offseason for the portal.

B only really materialized because the season was lost so early. Ace and Dylan took a risk on RU and they got let down by the program not providing and adequate supporting cast. Once that was clear (season over, nothing to play for), I certainly agree motivation was not there and Ace and Dylan stopped putting their all into this.

Pike cannot hold them accountable because they are bigger and of more importance in the basketball world than Pike is. So while it may be happening (accountability/structureless/etc.) it’s the outcome, not the cause.

They are all a factor but you’re missing inexperience and lack of continuity and leadership all of which are big factors in games that come down to one or two possessions imo.
