You know I used to feel like you. I was pissed we didn’t make it. But then as I took my RU blinders off, looked at it objectively, we sucked down the stretch for more than a few games. Including and especially that loss in Minne. That team that played those last 8 games wasn’t a tournament team. Now I see the problems we have today and I see that Feb mar 2023 was really the beginning of our demise.I didn’t say a poster was a Rutgers hater because they have a different opinion than me. It was they had an opinion that was contrary to the 99% of the people that do that for a living . Almost no one had his opinion and only a poster with a history of anti Pike posts on this board would come to that conclusion . Guess what you and him have a lot in common.
in 2022/2023 yes we certainly should have made the NCAA tourney .
Without him in the line-up, the team batting average should go up 20 points ; )Reports are that Stanton is already hurt....elbows.
Perhaps we should start a pool as to how many games he plays this season.WIthout
Stats? What does that even mean. His points this year generally meaningless in terms of producing winsGo look at the stats of freshman centers around the country and come back and discuss. I am sure that will convince you.
While NIL is a challenge this is somewhat of a red herring as we have offensive talent currently on the roster that is not being utilized to it's potential due to scheme. One word: NIL.
More than a few. Off top of my head he gets us Kennesaw, Princeton, Iowa, Penn StateGot to believe Pitino probably squeezes another few wins out of our roster.

And if even there were 40-50 programs only with a bigger budget … there are 10-20 more beneath us in lesser conferences that can overcome their lack of spending because they are in a league that will forgive shortcomings a little moreIt's both honestly.
Short term: Rutgers, even with our limited resources (comparatively) should be able to compete more. Especially when our resources are more than nearly every other program.
How many programs are ahead of us? 40? 50 in total?
Long term: It's fairly obvious (and has been for decades) that the funding model of college athletics allowing fans to impact spending levels is a problem for Rutgers competing against the teams above us.
OSU or Bama can out spend their mistakes and minimize their down times.
Rutgers can't.
OSU or Bama will never have a NY Giants type downturn. They can spend (via their fans) for a new coaches, replace players and instantly snap back.
See Michigan Basketball.
Unless Rutgers is going to hit 100% on coaches and players, money will always be a problem.
Even 100% wouldn't fully overcome the money gap though.
Maybe a certain Devil will be able to score a goal or two.Team USA going into Thursday's game pretty beaten up, arguably their top three forwards are all dealing with injuries and now Charlie McAvoy is out. Not good.
