Make tush push illegal?

Stop banning strategy in sports.
Infield Shift, tush push - what's next?

Ban screens in basketball!
Gives the offense an unfair advantage.
Certain teams aren't good at using screens on offense so ban them!
I'm all for strategy in sports. If I'm the Spurs, I sign a midget and put him on Victor Wembanyamas shoulders. He can just drop the ball into the basket and defense cant stop it or else its goaltending.

The RU v Princeton game is often described as a rugbyish sort of game

"Historian Tom McCabe ’91, who teaches a course about the history of soccer at Rutgers-Newark, says that based on written accounts, soccer and rugby skills played a prominent role in the game played on the College Avenue grounds in New Brunswick. The 25-man teams used a round ball, the players moving it primarily with their feet; carrying the ball to advance it was forbidden. One early painting of the game depicts a rectangular, soccer-like goal with a goaltender in front.

“When historians look at the nitty-gritty, they’re trying to figure out what it was,” McCabe says, “because it wasn’t American college football, and it wasn’t soccer [as we know it today]. It was more of a rugby- like game.”

Thanks for sharing this. I just finished this book, Passing Game. For those who like the Giants, Big 10 football and are interested in the history and evolution of the passing game in football, you may enjoy it: Passing Game

Ugh! Next 2 games on Peacock

find someone to share it with (they don't restrict) and use a coupon code. There are tons of them out there, I'm splitting with my son and got it for $20 for the whole year ($1.67 / month)...just to watch our games but I have also found a couple of good shows/movies... a COUPLE.

Oh I can get on Peacock, I just hate watching sports on streaming because you can't change channels.

OT: Italy travel recommendations

I have had a few great trips to Rome. And I would have had such a great recommendation for a restaurant but COVID did them in. My wife were staying at a top hotel and we asked them where we could go that was not a tourist or well known restaurant. We wanted the best Mom and Pop place they could think of- and they hit it out of the park.
We walk into the place and there is maybe 10-15 tables at most. A young lady walks us to a table full of small plates full of food.
Wife and I are looking at each other wondering how this works. Didn't know if we get charged by which plates we select. She comes over and asks if we wanted Vino and we selected their house red. She sees us looking at the plates and just says mangia. There had to be 10 plates- meatballs meats, cheeses, fish etc...
We start eating and drinking. They keep bringing out new dishes. We are now stuffed with some of the best food I have ever eaten. And she comes over and asks us what we were in the mood for to eat. "Pasta, fish, meat, heavy, light, etc" no menu. So, I get the Oso Buco and my wife gets a pasta she recommends.
We finish this and have another bottle of wine and they now bring out a tray of deserts to choose from.

They roll us out and for all this food and 2 bottles of wine- about $50 US

Theres no dining hall on college ave???

"THE ATRIUM IS A TAKE- OUT ONLY OPERATION - ONE MEAL SWIPE PROVIDES YOU WITH ONE ENTREE WITH ITS MODIFIERS AND SIDES, ONE BEVERAGE, AND ONE RETAIL SIDE ITEM."

You have to admit that's an absolute crap deal compared to a proper dining hall like Livingston Commons.

Just so typical Rutgers to do this. I absolutely agree that the dining hall is an integral experience in college especially for the younger classes.

When I was in school, the hierarchy was that Bush was the best, Douglas was the second best, Cook the third, the commons the fourth and Livingston dead last.

When I was in school, the pecking order was Cooper Dining Hall (Douglas), Neilson (Cook), Davidson (Busch), Brower and Tillett (Livingston). My freshman year in the Towers on Livingston the saying was "Kill it at Tillett", and on the stall walls was written: "Flush twice, Tillett's a long way"

Rutgers is 6-3 in B1G when Ace and Dylan are both healthy

Any assessment of the season that does not include Pike’s coaching, including lack of offensive structure , poor player rotations,
Game day scheming, half time adjustments,
Scheduling Princeton, KSU doesn’t accurately reflect why Rutgers is 14-14 and 7-10
This wasn’t intended to be a comprehensive assessment of the entire complex of issues affecting the season. Just wanted to isolate one specific factor, but I would add that… we were still 6-3 in Big Ten games with Ace and Dylan DESPITE the coaching factors you cite.
