I would take Dylan back in a heartbeat.
Ace is insanely gifted and when he gets hot , nobody can stop him. But his defense and his ability to make an offense around him better are severely lacking. Neither of those would be a problem in the NBA style of play but in college - it hasn’t worked out.

Yep. Portal or bust at this point — there’s not enough P4 level scorers in this year’s freshman class / 2025 class to be a competitive Big Ten team. Now or never for Pike — needs to crush it in this year’s portal or he’ll be packing in no time

It's remarkably similar.
The "but Michigan has 2 guys over 7ft" and "we scored 57pts and almost won so clearly it worked" may have been a bit overstated.

Elite offenses generally (there are obviously exceptions but they are just that - eceptipns) take efficient shots.

Our shot charts generally look the same too (that's not a good thing).

Only Davis is on the team ….one out of 7 doesn’t cut it

We need the three and Jmike frosh to return , even if they aren’t perfect pike players ….

Add next years class and hope 6 of those 8 return for the year after and add 3-4 frosh

Build a foundation …retain and develop

That’s what pike is a coach …and the only way we get back to the legit middle of the pack of this league to dance in a couple of years

I’d have to imagine that any level of due diligence would have allowed him to conclude that Jaden Jones was a flake. I think he’s a little lazy on recruiting. Harper and Bailey fell into his lap. That stretch of recruiting was dreadful.
