To be clear, I am not saying that there aren't cases where people are put in positions they shouldn't be. Sometimes it is because of mis-guided DEI efforts, sometimes nepotism, and sometimes racism, etc. But I quite frankly am sick of every non white male we don't agree with being accused of DEI favoritism. I say that as a proud husband of a highly qualified woman and proud father of a young woman who is very good at what she does. I sometime shudder to think of what the women in some people's lives must be like if they think that the reason the US airline industry is so safe is because pilots are 90%+ males.

The situation with the buses was the result of pressure from the Catholic schools. It started in Edison/Woodbridge in the 1980s.

There is more money spent on Catholic transportation than Orthodox transportation

None of these schools, with the exception of Notre Dame, are good fits for either the Big Ten or the SEC. They simply don't have the ratings that are going to generate the necessary revenue.
