While MSU didn't have an impressive record, this is a game that Rutgers had traditionally rolled over and died in. With all of the numerous factors working against us, the team/staff just might have put on their best performance of the regular season. This just might be the most impressive performance of Schiano 2.0 thus far and I can't tip my hat enough to this group.

Been saying this for years but been blasted for making this comment. Always said we need a Sam Johnson type
of TE on the roster by just moving a OL over the TE. The passing plays he need to know is the find space and sit on passing situations
Going forward I would get that OL that has ton of potential but may be just a little to light to play OL, That new TE/OL person would get
much needed experience on the playing field and when the weight goes up he moves to the OL. For this offense to explode we need to
get to the outside. We also have some good TE's on the roster so it would balance out. TE position would be a strength next season.

You guys that keep saying that can stick it, we have a massive hole at the 4 and 5 and it shows big-time.

I know star rankings are really just an indicator of promised talent, however we have 11 5.7 star kids verbally committed for 2025. Question for mods are those in the know,
How many of them realistically have a chance to get their 4th star

Think the 42 yarder to put us up 20-7 was the nail in the coffin for MSU. I don’t think we would have lost had he missed it but you could see a scenario where they would gain momentum and get back into the game had he missed.

Like everyone, I wish we would have done better. But, we were competitive in every game. Our two stars looked like what is expected. If we can somehow figure out how to defend without fouling, hit some more 3's and find , at least, one more consistent scorer we should do OK.
Meanwhile, it certainly looks like our new BIG member Oregon is good in both sports.

Lived to almost 100 years old !

He coached some terrific teams back in the 80s with Mullin / Berry / Mark Jackson / Wennington etc.

He also coached the Nets back in early 70s between his stints with St John’s.

When I went to exhibition game that we played at ST John’s last year, Louie was at the game at 98 years old !

RIP.
