So I am watching the game at Caesar's Las Vegas in their gigantic sportsbook. The place is packed watching the Rose Bowl and then the Bills-Bengals.

The Rutgers game is only on 1 of the big screens(little by Caesar's Standards). Right before Loyer hit his shot, the feed goes out. I yell out from my seat, "get the Rutgers game back on"! A writer yells back, it is a Directv problem and it needs to be rebooted. I'm freaking out, but the feed came back a minute later and then Spencer hit his big shot.

Won a few bucks on the 1st half and on the game to make it even sweeter........

In a 1-point win on the road, against the #1 team in the country, in a hostile environment at one of the toughest arenas for visiting teams, our two freshmen calmly went to the line and made all of their foul shots, going 4-4.

The importance of that should not be overlooked. Wolf and Derek (big 3-pointer as well) are out there not just to compete, but to win.

This was not an upset. Rutgers is way better than Purdue anywhere but Mackey and now better at Mackey.Purdue is not beating a team with 2 veteran 6-7 guards and a legit big. Not happening. I only fear Ohio State and Michigan State.No one else. Maryland is in for a huge hurt sandwich.

Huge win, just huge, with great defense and just enough offense to win on the road against the #1 team in the country. So happy for the team and us fans. Paul was fantastic, Cliff was great in the first half, Cam with the huge shot and other nice shots, Caleb with the D, and Hyatt, Mag, Wolf, and Simpson all contributing. And this was all despite the foul disparity with 28-11 FTs and 24-11 fouls (to be fair we're very aggressive and did foul more than they did, but not that much more).
