Picked Up a Couple of Late Recruits who are Very Interesting

One I don't want to say because he's not made it public from my knowledge. I'll post it after that happens. Highly recruited kid who was stashed as one of the academy prep schools.

The other is a Brayden Beyer. He was a high school AA out of Utah and played football at Utah last season. He wants to play lacrosse again and our Utah connects made that happen. Kid is a beast. Perfectly made for our system where Dmids are the gas that makes it go. Extremely athletic. It all depends on how quickly he can get acclimated and get his stick skills sharpened but from an athletic perspective, he has that in spades.

College football is offically back!

And what a weekend it's been

The Good
We get the dub vs. Howard on Thursday
Miami embarrasses UF in the Swamp, putting Sunbelt Billy one step closer to returning to his roots and dashing the hopes of 90k fans wearing jorts in the searing afternoon heat
Vandy beats VT, who I'm supposed to be rooting for but are secretly rooting against
Notre Dame beats the southern cult

The Bad
PSU beats the 'Eers
South Carolina escapes vs ODU
Idaho's upset bid falls short against Oregon

To be determined...
A heavyweight showdown in Vegas - will USC finally have a defense, or will Brian Kelly break his neutral site opening day losing jinx has head coach of the Bayou Bengals?
What will be the response from preseason ACC favorite Florida State vs. an always game Boston College, coming off an embarrassing loss to Georgia Tech in Ireland?

College football is offically upon us my friends

OT: Bar Codes on Helmets for NIL Purposes, NCAA Stops Oklahoma State

"The NCAA has blocked Oklahoma State from placing NIL-linked QR codes on its players' football helmets after the program announced the decision ahead of the Cowboys' Week 1 game against South Dakota State..."

VT vs. Vandy review - Game & City

Just left the stadium
Sellout w 80-90 % Tech fans

Place is a dump in many different facets - surprised the SEC lets them get away with it

Campus nice but kinda meh
Solid education but pricey

Nashville is a cool city
Mix of Charlotte & New Orleans but not nearly as dicey as Nola

We should handle VT if we play up to our potential.

They aren’t good - was actually surprised they were as bad as they are

YouTube Restriction on Viewing Location

This post might be inappropriate, especially since I'm an outsider. Please delete if so.

So, yesterday afternoon I was psyched to see what the Rutgers atmosphere would look like, given the excitement, and planned on checking out some of the game. Besides, football season is starting. So I re-activated my YouTube TV subscription.

Then, at 6:00 p.m, I fired it up (in Atlantic City), only to be told that I couldn't watch the game because I wasn't in my home location (or whatever term they use). I guess the first time I established the account, years ago, I did it from my place up by Philadelphia. Last night was in Atlantic City. So it's like the big wooden console TV we had growing up -- it only works in that one place?

It wasn't always this way. I've had no problem turning on games via YouTube TV from all over the place in the past. About a year ago I missed a flight in Atlanta, sat up all night in the terminal working, and finished it off at dawn with an episode of "Better Call Saul." So this is definitely new.

Does anybody know if I am misunderstanding? Otherwise, YTV is useless to me and I will cancel my subscription. I buy it so I can use it on my computer, wherever me and and my computer are. Period.

Thank you...

* edited to mention that it was "Better Call Saul", not "Breaking Bad", and it was actually two years ago...

Dymere Miller and Kenny Fletcher...

These guys look like legit d1 pass catchers with NFL potential.. Nice to have some good looking receivers out there. When I saw Ian strong I was like oh ok, hes gonna be Megatron, he may not be ready yet though, maybe a defensive player, have to give him a chance but he never has looked comfortable catching the ball. Didn't get the ball to Dremel or black but I'd like to see how that looks as well.. running backs are elite of course. Team has some real weapons this year. But Fletcher and Dymere look excellent, Fletcher should have been playing tight end this whole time lol. That was a pleasant surprise as I don't think Rutgers has ever had a receiving tight end like him during my fandom..

BIG Tiebreakers for championship game

Kind of complicated. There is a good chance some random game on the last day of the season like a Rutgers-Maryland determines a tiebreaker and who gets in.

With the new playoff, an 11-1 team might benefit from losing a tiebreaker and not playing in the championsip game . Say Penn state and Oregon tied at 11-1. Penn state wins the tiebreaker on some weird criterion and gets to play 12-0 Ohio state . Penn state gets drubbed in the BIG championship game , falling to 11-2.
What does the committee do?

I also think you might be better off as the 5 seed in this whole new playoff thing. Yes, you got to play a first round game , but you are getting the 12 at home Then you get the 4 seed , the weakest of the bye group.
There is a good chance the 5 seed vs 4 is easier draw then the 1 vs 8/9
