Church of Chop Saturday Sermon - RU v Michigan State 11/12/22

Let us all pray as we prepare for the Church of Chop as our Lord and Savior Greg Schiano and his Knights take on the Spartans of Michigan State. Our Knights return to East Lansing where in 2020 our Lord and Savior Greg Schiano returned to show Faux-Friar Tucker the TRUE meaning of CHOP. We attempt to recreate that magic as we continue our Quest to reach a Bowl… and we shall have no fear.

Let Langan the Brute splinter their defensive shields. Let Ryan the Rugged slip past their thrusting spears. Let Aaron “The Law” Lewis, the Master of Disaster and Izien the Terrible strike terror in their team tunnel. And let the Righteous Boot of the Aussie Assassin Brother Korsak pin the nonbelievers far and deep.

And let us not forget the one and only commandment… “THOU. SHALT. CHOP!”

Play with tempo today?

MSU are incredibly thin on defense + multiple players who are playing new positions + a lot of players on 2 deep with very little experience.

Normally we want to slow things down, and shorten the game. However here we have an opportunity to attack them, wear down their depleted D and also take advantage of their inexperience on D where hurry up will confuse them.

Bieliema was complaining after their lose to MSU that they were faking injuries to allow substitutions. Hopefully we took note of this

Semi OT: OSU game in Value City Arena

Visiting OSU with my HS senior son and took in the OSU - Charleston Southern bball game on Thursday. Beautiful arena but the place was less than half empty and completely devoid of any atmosphere. Announced attendance was 8400. I think it was closer to 6k and there may have been 50 students in attendance. No doubt the students have their minds on football and the game was a blowout from the start. Suprisingly, tbdbitl doesn’t make for a great bball pep band and the pregame intros were nothing special. Overall it made me appreciate the RAC even more.

basketball-wise, OSU has some good talent but they have a lot of new faces and not a lot of quality bigs. I think RU will match up well with them.
