101.5 - 'forfeit season'

Maybe the stand in should forfeit his career first - no wonder they're a stand in. Media really is unreal.

Oh please - if they thought it would get them a boost in their ratings, 101.5 would call for a public execution of the entire athletic department .... and every elitist academic - and bulldozing every Rutgers Campus in the state .... cause it would save the working man Billions and billions of dollars.

Yes, because forfeiting the season is fair to the kids that keep their noses clean. What a joke. Complete morons we've got in this media market.

That's literally the dumbest thing you can do. If a team were to forfeit a road game. The opposing team would be able to file a lawsuit and easily win for costing them revenue on game day. This happened about two to three years ago at a small school. That would be 5 lawsuits. And make things even more embarrassing.

Yep. Rutgers is obligated to show up and play. We might not be competitive, but we have to field a team.

Boy, do some people love to overreact to every single little thing.

This is COLLEGE FN' FOOTBALL!!!

Even with the embarrassing events of the last few weeks, we are STILL one of the cleanest programs in the country.

2nd, What happens with 10 students do not in any way reflect the other 59,990 students or staff of faculty.

Don't get it twisted.

There hsve been many, many things far worse than the recent events at Rutgers at several other schools throughout the country and schools would nrver think about forfeiting the season. To even suggest, consider or prolong any further discussion on this by various media much less here is a crime in itself.

The station simply sucks and always has, except Big Joe Henry is a good dude.
I don't know anything about the station so I won't comment on them. What I do know is that the program has given them the ammo to make such a statement. We need to get this ship upright as soon as possible and I don't know what it's going to take but I don't think KF's program can take anymore hits without sinking. When u get the police and lawyers involved everyone start looking to make deals and talk to the media. Trust and believe there will be an article in SI soon and u will read that an unnamed sources said this about the program and SI was able to dig up this about the program. When people start sinking they don't care who they take with them and that scares me. This may only be the tip of the iceberg.

The program gave them the ammo to fire off a "they should forfeit the season?"

When has any team done that, ever?

No the program did not because that statement is one of the dumbest most ignorant, unrealistic statements to be made. The host who made that statement should have his IQ checked as well as his sanity, there is no possible way due to the legal and revenue implications that forfeiting the season would even be considered.

By 101.5's logic, any university that has a couple of students arrested should cancel classes from there forward, just "because." By their logic, WABC should have been shut down when Don Imus got in trouble.

101.5 rocked when Opie and Anthony were on the dial.
The also had Carton and Rossi (Carton cracks me up)

Since then....Meh....

I didn't realize that that station had even survived.

When you have issues with every local media source, you need to start looking at yourself.

"When you have issues with every local media source, you need to start looking at yourself."

When local media sources call for seasons to be forfeited, they need to start looking at themselves. The move is far more likely to create headlines and done for shock value than for morality reasons.

Using the 101.5 logic, Rutgers should cancel the semester.

If someone on 101.5 get a drunk driving charge, will they have to sell their station ? If so, Rutgers should buy it so we can have one station that reaches almost the whole state. Kill two birds with one stone.

And it begins

A stand in for the Old Man is calling for Rutgers to forfeit the season.
This is rediculous and the radio sta needs to be looking for new newscasters. I can't imagine a Big 10 team forfeiting a whole season, the idea is ludicrous.
