Well this is counter productive thank you for as usual calling people out when you have no idea what they have given. Shows real maturity and in my opinion not anyone's business what others do or don't do. You have no idea of anyone's position so so stop accusing when you don't have a clue. The board sometimes makes no sense to me the way people bitch about others on the board is ridiculous.Neither of your excuses are valid for a member of these boards.
And your excuse #2 is, quite possibly, the most stupendously idiotic analogy I have ever read.
Making a donation at this time when Rutgers is so close to a Big Ten financial windfall does not pass my price of admission vs. amount of enjoyment test.

BS no one has to answer to anyone on this board when it comes to personal matters. If they do state their position it is still their choice. The problem here is people shouldn't assume anything and that's what started this. I don't have to toot any horns either and I believe your financial business is your personal business and does not need to be explained to anyone. I would never call out anyone for their financial choices and who's to say that all the people on the board didn't do what they could already? When people state they are not giving because they see Rutgers Football as entertainment ala the Giants and Jets, that pretty much is stating a positon, and opens themselves up to criticism.
No one on the board has to answer to anyone here. If they choose too that is their choice what anyone chooses is a personal decision what gives anyone the right to criticize that choice? I keep forgetting that all those that do must do everything right in their life. Again that's his choice you chose to give he chose not too I don't criticize people for their choice only God has that right. When people state they are not giving because they see Rutgers Football as entertainment ala the Giants and Jets, that pretty much is stating a positon, and opens themselves up to criticism.
Outside of the real diehard college football fan at primarily the FBS level it would be thought of as being absolutely crazy the amount of money that is required to be given in order to watch 18-21 year old kids play 5 or 6 games outdoors in whatever weather that Fall and Winter provides. When people state they are not giving because they see Rutgers Football as entertainment ala the Giants and Jets, that pretty much is stating a positon, and opens themselves up to criticism.
While its unfortunate that you cannot be supportive at this time, the right thing for you to say is, "While I can't give at this time, I hope that others who can give, give." While people shouldn't be calling you names, you shouldn't be belittling those who do give.
You and the OC use the word "excuse" as if I have to put up a defense for some kind of misdeed. I would prefer to use a word like reason or explanation. I've already given my reason or explanation for why I don't want to give anything many times. To sum it up my feeling is that my responsibility to provide money to RU ends with the purchase of the ticket if I go to the game or whatever portion of my cable bill goes to media rights to watch the game on TV or Internet. There are fans who are going to get this done, and there are fans who are going to make excuses. I hope you will consider being a member of the former, when you are able to. Every $ helps.
That is a wonderful sentiment. It is very commendable of you. It should give you great satisfaction if that's what you want. As for me, I just want to watch a football game. Those who donate are helping to build a legacy.
I can confidently go to my grave knowing I did everything I was able to do, to make Rutgers a winner. And that gives me a measure of satisfaction.
