Keep posting - we welcome all types here. A lot of folks on this site don’t realize how much we benefit as a community from having people from all over the country and with different personalities posting here. Not to mention, wrestling brings out some of the wildest characters around - you just never really know who is who and what is what...
At the end of the day, wrestling folks give other wrestling folks the benefit of the doubt most of the time , it’s what makes this sport different than the others.

As for The Ferrrari family - you’d have to imagine they watched the finals on TV here in NJ. They currently wrestle for the same school as our first national champ of all time. They saw John Smith’s behavior.. if the recruiting battle was really that close, I’m sure we’re ahead now.
I can’t wait until him and his brothers get on the squad and wreak havoc - it will be one of our next great program story lines
RUready I'm hearing they may head back to Texas once school is out

Do we have any reciruits or prospects competing at senior nationals? I skimmed the seeding and didn’t notice anyone.

Busiello is a former NO 1 who has held the top dog spot on and off in multiple weights.
This match will be competitive but I expect JoJo to win.

Van Ness knocked Busiello out of the top spot at Super 32. Busiello had won like 4-5 Super 32 titles until the Blair wrecking ball beat him.

Yes he did but Busiello has that type of talent level. It should be a good test for Aragona and I expect him to win either way.

RU is now Bergen Catholic South. Let that sink in.

Suriano, Lipari, Grello, Pagano.

Want to wrestle in front of 8,000 screaming Jersey Fanatical Wrestling fans who will have your back for the rest of your career and lives at THE NJ University ? - F'N RUTGERS is where you come !

Or go out of state, where you are that new kid from NJ who they know little about.
Think Nick Suriano is happy about his transfer? Listen to his post Championship interviews, the kid gushes about Rutgers and the fans like Brian Leonard did for Rutgers Football.
Think Anthony Ashnault regrets not going to an out of state school ? He IS NOW A NJ WRESTLING LEGEND !

There is a NEW ORDER and the College Wrestling Landscape changed on Saturday Night, March 23.

Hell yeah.

I think Ashnault using his post NC interview to try to start an R-U chant tells you everything you need to know about his loyalties.

Well, many of us on here are donors of the program, and know each other off this website. So there's that.

We have had a lot of trolls on this board. A lot of PSU guys in particular, with fake RU screen names. You are new here.. most of us have been posting here for years. Anyone new who starts posting a bunch...people are gonna keep an eye on that. Then you had a couple of your posts that could be taken a couple different ways. The post about Bob Suriano, for one. Saying "calling him a 'character' would be a compliment" is not a nice thing to say about someone. You may not have meant it like that, but when a new guy says something like that - especially over Suriano who is a consistent target of PSU trolls - we are gonna be on alert and pay attention to your next few posts.

We are also going to be quick to stand up for our own... just the way it is. If you are genuine, hopefully you stick around. Its a fun community here.
Fair enough. I totally agree with what you're saying. I'm definitely not a Penn State fan. I've been a loyal Rutgers fan for over 30 years. I'm not here to stir the pot. If I offended some people about Pete Gonzalez, then I apologize. I just didn't feel my first impression of him was very positive. Regarding Bob Suriano, the unfortunate part is that people don't realize what intent is through posting on forums. I was actually praising the guy and found such admiration for him. Nick suriano is one of my favorite athletes of all time. The adversity this young man went through in the mindset that he has is unmatched. I also have a little bit of quirkiness about me and and attitude, because I was a highly decorated New Jersey wrestler and Division 1 wrestler. With that said I want to contribute positivenss to this board as much as I can. I still don't like this FoxRU guy though. He's a freaking wiseass, who doesn't even give people a shot to talk or express their opinions, without being micromanaged. I get micro managed by my wife enough.

FoxRu is a solid poster. He typically adds to the these boards when he adds his perspective. Keep an open mind about him and give him a shot! Other than that let’s keep the positivity going my dude. And if you don’t mind me asking, what college did you wrestle for? Completely understand if you prefer not to answer, but I’m just curious.

Listen dude, I don't know what your issues are, but you need to get them under control. I wrestled in high school, and in college, I also coach and know several people in the wrestling community. When a post comes up on the Scarlet Nation, friends of us discuss what people are talking about. The first thing people said to me was that JoJo aragona might be talking about AJ Ferrari. Because they are friendly, and one is a commit any other is on the fence there was speculation that he was going to commit. I also don't know why you have to get affirmation from other strangers on an athletic board. People are not going to start siding with you, and automatically become your friend. Also, every time a person makes a reference to possible commits, they have to say this person Creedo is them. You guys accused people from Pennsylvania, then somebody else who got on, then another person, now me.

Lol..Anyone that has to defend themselves and state that they played in college and coaches it’s probably not true. They used to wrestle in high school but couldn’t make the college team and doesn’t coach because they didn’t wrestle in college.....just a bad cycle..jmo...lol

Flowrestling announced their final HS rankings.

I'll go over their 2019 'Big Board' first. This is a ranking of all 2019 recruits in all weight classes , only the 2019 class.

https://www.flowrestling.org/rankin...g-board/31199-the-final-2019-senior-big-board

RU's 2019 commits:

138 JoJo Aragona- comes in #6 overall, #1 at 138
182 Jackson Turley comes in #43, #6 at 182
160 Robert Kanniard comes in # 64, #10 at 160
138 Devon Britten comes in #80, did not make top 20 at 138
152 Cody Harrison, did not make top 100, did not make top 20 at 152(3rd in NJ)

https://www.flowrestling.org/rankin...ling-rankings/31170-final-2018-19-hs-rankings

Looking at the ranking of past years for all teams, I think this 2019 recruiting class will be in the 5-8 range.

Now let's land ourselves a nice Italian sports car.

Honestly though, AJ and Shane could be the next iteration of Ashnault and Suriano. If we have truly "made it" these are the types of NJ targets we need to be closing on every few years. Rodney still has close ties to the program, but just can't get a feel for what he and his boy will do.

But my god, those guys would be game changers.

Ohio States recruiting class is sick.

If we can somehow convince Byrd to come to the banks, that would be awesome.

What weights and ranks are those three wrestlers?

Van Ness is a sophomore ranked #3 at 132.

AJ Ferrari is a junior ranked #1 at 220 (likely will go 197 in college)

Anthony Ferrari is a freshman I believe. He is a little harder to track down as he wrestled 113 at Blair all the way up to 132 when he transferred to Bergen Catholic. I can't find a ranking for him.

Why is Jackson Turley only #6 at his weight class? I thought he beat everyone there?

Regardless, he's a stud and I'm very happy that he's coming to RU.

He lost to Foca in a tournament. He was down Big then rallied to make it close.

Jojo could be there too. He’s #1 in his weight and #6 overall. A RS year wrestling with Ash, Nick, Pritzlaff, etc. and he should be an easy 4-time AA fighting for Big Ten and national titles.

I like Jojo... a lot. Best recruit in years. However, I put AJ and Shayne as true blue chippers who are more electric at this point. Every major school I'm sure is making a move on those kids. Hey, I hope all 3 are wearing Scarlet in 3 years.

Jojo doesn’t get as much hype Bc he is only a 1x state champ but he’s shown so much improvement his sr year and wrestled and beat everyone... he has very high upside with the learning/improvement curve he’s on.

Gentleman, Jojo is a fantastic recruit and thrilled to get him. Not looking to turn this into a debate.

In 2018 NJ Championships, JoJo Aragona lost in the Semifinals 4-1 to... RU's Jake Benner. In the Quarterfinals, he beat RU commit Cody Harrison 3-1. How's that for one bracket with so many future RU guys, lol. PS- Quinn Kinner won that 138 bracket, think he redshirted at Ohio St this year.
IMO, JoJo took a big jump by winning some National Tournaments, which many times are more difficult to win than a NJ Championship.
I think Aragona will have to go thru Lipari and Firestone at 141, whereas Benner will be battling it out at 149 with Mike Van Brill.
