The press conference to announce RU's addition to the conferencs was just a few hours away.

This morning, we're not nearly as happy.

This morning is one day....what happened four years ago is setting up Rutgers for generations.

I would rather play a very difficult schedule like ours than the Tulsas, Tulanes, UConns, UCFs, etc. of the world. Without the B1G our average attendance would be 20k in football although our record would be improved. Better days are coming. The windfall is coming in 5 years.

I always thought coming into the Big Ten that the 2014 season where we were 8-5 should be an average season for RU in the Big Ten. I think with Schiano and his recruiting classes it would have happened. Unfortunately our last 4 recruiting classes have been very poor and we've had terrible turnover with players no longer in our program. It's going to take a few years to get back to being a 500 team again.

Every time you get down about it, just remember that BigTen payday! Not getting a better deal in any other conference!

That $40M is going to help make sure we are not facing situations like this again. Look at all the other long term members- even NW has gone to a BCS bowl.
