I think around 1990.When did Bowman brand get acquired by Topps ? Shelby showing his age.
almost all the brands got acquired over the past 20 years and consolidated down to Panini, Topps, and Leaf basically with Panini currently having the NFL and NBA licenses and Topps having MLBWhen did Bowman brand get acquired by Topps ? Shelby showing his age.
Leaf (Donruss) offers baseball cards even though they have no license with MLB and no deal with the MLBPA - the result is cards of prospects and former players with no team names or logos - such nonsense (although I did pull a Pudge auto green refractor the other day)almost all the brands got acquired over the past 20 years and consolidated down to Panini, Topps, and Leaf basically with Panini currently having the NFL and NBA licenses and Topps having MLB
yeah they and Wild Card do it for all types of sports despite not having licenses, but it also gets them to be pretty creative with their card designs to try to make up for it, some of them being downright hilarious like the Wild Card Dino-Might series.Leaf (Donruss) offers baseball cards even though they have no license with MLB and no deal with the MLBPA - the result is cards of prospects and former players with no team names or logos - such nonsense (although I did pull a Pudge auto green refractor the other day)
What are parallels?Posted this in the Harper thread-- but I will post it again to see what everyone thinks Ace Bailey's first card print run will be...
Print runs for the Harper Cards have been released....
Harper's first card has a print run of 3268. Meaning, if you bought one, even though it will not be numbered (unless it is a parallel) will be one of 3,268 in existence.
Odds of parallels:
/25 Game-used Sneaker redemption card
/10 Game-used Sneaker Autograph-Relic redemption card
/5 Game-used Sneaker Autograph-Relic redemption card
1/1 JUMBO Game-used Sneaker Autograph-Relic redemption card
Base Card Parallels are randomly inserted into every print run! Look for Numbered Parallels:
/49 Blue
/25 Purple
/10 Red
/5 Orange
/1 Gold
Harpers SECOND card has a print run of 546! This gives us very good odds at getting a parallel:
/49 Blue/25 Purple/10 Red/5 Orange/1 Gold
Hopefully some of us on the board end up with parallels or the HIGHLY coveted sneaker/auto relics.
You're buying the card, not packs or boxes hoping to get the card. The pricing is in the link based on how many you buyI’m assuming this card and Harper’s card are in packs / boxes?
They are randomly inserted into orders. For example, if you buy a 5 pack. 4 base cards might show up and 1 parallel. How do parallels work if there are no boxes or packs? Do you just buy the parallels?
aka the fancier versionsThey are randomly inserted into orders. For example, if you buy a 5 pack. 4 base cards might show up and 1 parallel.
I have purchased various Topps Now cards in the past, and they always arrive in a bubble mailer inside of a cardboard "sleeve" and then inside a plastic case. I have never received an insert.I believe each individual card comes in a sealed ‘pack’. So you don’t know what you’ve got until you open it, being a regular card, parallel card or a relic card.
I got 20, happy to send to anyone at cost, save you a bit with my bulk discount.

Got an out of 5 and an out of 49.
you know I didn't even think to look at that and yes, 4/5!/5 and /49 ... sweet! Congrats!
Was either one 4/5 or 4/49? If so, they are worth significantly more because 4 is Ace's uniform number.
Awesome!you know I didn't even think to look at that and yes, 4/5!
That's a huge one, congrats!you know I didn't even think to look at that and yes, 4/5!

That is a great card to have.Mine came in, anyone get anything good?
Got an out of 5 and an out of 49.
There should be a design on the accents of the card that resemble a different color, and/or there would be a serial number stamped on the card (ex: 1/49 or 2/49)I'm a novice at this. I ordered 5 of Harper and the same of Bailey. How do I know if I have a parallel?
I have neither of those. Thanks for the info! There should be a design on the accents of the card that resemble a different color, and/or there would be a serial number stamped on the card (ex: 1/49 or 2/49)
