Schiano designed Nike Pro-Combat unis?????

Good luck reading the numbers. I tried for like two years and finally gave up. Trying to figure out who made a tackle or hell who was even on the field became a continuous argument with my seatmates.

Schiano worked on those for a year and approved them prior to leaving. They were his creation. Flood inherited them.

These are the things he needs to get out of the way of. He isn't a style maven. Leave it to the experts and allow them to work.
No he didn't. He sent ideas to Nike. They worked on it. When he left he never saw anything made.

Schiano approved them.. they are his.. and they are the best unis we've ever had imo.. these adidass ones suck

We can agree to disagree. The point still stands. He's a football coach, not a fashion influencer. Let the pros work and get out of the way.

Liked the helmets. Disliked the "typeface" of the numbers. Disliked the Rutgers on the chest, too small.

Horrible. Our current ones are fine. Would like classic numbers, but not a big deal. Schiano was responsible for the block R ... which should live forever like the Michigan M.

Reel in a Top 10 class and they can wear pink uni's if they want.

Someone tweeted Coach about this thread asking if he did in fact design the uniform and would he please come over and say hi.

The sort of red color one was terrible, the helmets and the whites and blacks were awesome.
Maybe if they fixed the numbers on the red jerseys or if they mixed up the unis red/white, white/red, black/red, etc?

I liked the way they were able to give the helmets different looks by changing the facemasks and logo colors with the same helmet.

"The new look for Rutgers Football is a clean, modern style that our student-athletes, recruits and fans will be very impressed with," said Rutgers Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Tim Pernetti. "Nike, along with our football staff did an amazing job of incorporating our history, mascot, and our most valuable asset, the Block R, while designing a uniform that will generate incredible excitement. This was a process that lasted over a year with tremendous input from both Kyle Flood and Greg Schiano."

The salmon colored jersey was designed by Schiano's right hand man Todd Greineder & was approved by Schiano who wanted the numbers harder for the opposing teams coaching staff to read while trying to make substitutions from upstairs. Todd then got a big job at Nike World Headquarters in Oregon as the head of Sports Licensing

Guess no link.
No link but facts from the AD at the time with 7 other people listening. You do know that the first "reveal" of the new unis was months after Greg was gone and they were just renderings. You have don't have to believe me. Google it yourself. The first time you saw a public mockup was in May
