Thanks, Julie!

Hopefully, in 10 years Rutgers will be a B1G powerhouse and BC will regret scheduling a P5 cupcake.

Yeah!! Whoohoo!! Finally, I'll be able to see Rutgers play in my own backyard (Boston) and won't have to travel all the way down to Piscataway. Obviously, these sorts of opportunities don't come around too often. Considering we're not playing UConn anymore, well .. this is as good as it's going to get.

Imagine if the game was this year, may as well make it a round robin with UConn for the anti-Lombardi.

I guess PSU has the Lombardi locked up?

I have no issue with this game being scheduled. BC is only 4 to 5 hours away so we should be able to travel well to the away game. For the home game it is an ACC opponent that has a good deal of alumni in the area so there may be some good buzz.

With our annual schedule the only games within day trip driving distance are Maryland and Penn St. So we only have 1 away game within driving distance now. Ohio St and Michigan are like 8 to 10 hours away if driving.

Assuming the 2026 schedule is similar to the 2016:
Home - Michigan, Penn St, Indiana, 2 B10 West, Bought game
Away - Maryland, Ohio St, Mich St, 1 B10 West, Boston College

TBD - 1 OOC game

And I guess you mean The Lambert-Meadowlands Trophy

That was BS that they gave it to Louisville in 2006.. we beat them bastards that year and anyone with a brain knows the refs stole the WVU game from us and thus the Big East championship and a BCS bowl game. Meanwhile we wan the thing in 2014 at 8-5.. go figure.

Yeah sorry, not used to talking about trophies and college football.

Its good to have a drivable game vs a P5 school that should be competitive.

Not a fan of this matchup at all. Had to laugh at the line "they are regional foes fighting over recruits." If Massachusetts was fertile ground I'd be all for this. But when all of the recruits we are fighting over are down here, not so much.

If we're going to play an ACC school that used to be in the Big East, give me Pittsburgh. They will recruit well in New Jersey regardless; I'm not so sure about BC and New York's College Team.

1/3 of the people on this site might be dead including me. With that being said I hope we kick their ass.

Flood and Julie set this up (the gifts that keep on giving), but it was just signed because going to the West Coast to play a Power 5 team sucks. Plus, we should be able to beat them... by then.

Boston is just 4 hours away which is closer than Syracuse. Plus they helped keep Uconn out of the ACC, surely that deserves some browny points?

Anyone know what time is kickoff or what channel will be televising it?

Might as well get the complaints out there early.
