Rutgers scores to go up by 1 with 20 seconds left. Time out is called. What 5 players do you send out there to get a game winning stop?

There are 4 locks for me

JMike
Mag
Wolf
Cliff

I could probably be persuaded on the 5th... it would be a guard so between Noah Simpson and Williams

Depends on matchup. If the other team has quick guards you go with Simpson. If bigger guards you could go with Williams. Also depends on situation, if they in bounding 90 feet away you can pressure with Simpson and Davis. If Half court inbound, maybe you go bigger.

Simpson looked okay last night because he did well in the press and had a couple of steals in half court D. He is one of the weakest defenders in half court D on the whole though. He loses his man or trails him too far too often and he still goes behind screens. Williams and JMike fight over screens and don't lose their guys cutting through the middle.

alot of shooters in that lineup

Austin Williams (assuming JW is unavailable).
He’s a situational defender to me. Strikes me as being effective on that end of the floor against big, slower guards (think PM) — but a real liability against high-level athletes. Just don’t see the foot-speed / lateral quickness. Lee on Princeton put him in a blender a couple times in that game

Williams

Later in the year I think it will be Gavin Griffiths. He gets lost out there right now, however he's too athletic and too tall not to be good at defense. In a month I think he becomes the 6'7" defender the team needs..

I like Noah in the lineup. Even though Noah is short, he showed us he is little feisty defender when was playing with confidence in the 2nd half. Plus, with that lineup we need someone who can at least get his own shot off.
Also, Our Guards would be short but it is complemented greatly with Mag, Wolf, Cliff.

End of the game lineup.

#1 -
G - Noah
G - Gavin (if his defense gets better, I say let him start with this lineup)
F - Hyatt
F - Mag
C - Cliff

#2 -
G - Noah
G - JMike
F - Gavin (I think his defense will get better. He definitely has the athleticism, not like Oskar. So for some of you out there, please dont compare Gavin to Oskar's defense)
F - Mag
C - Cliff

#3 - Defense Stops needed
G - Noah / Williams (if other team has really big/stocky guard)
G - JMike / Derek
F - Mag
F - Wolf
C - Cliff

In Game Rotation
PG - Noah, JMike,
G - Derek, Williams, Gavin
SF - Gavin, Hyatt, Mag,
PF - Mag, Wolf, Oskar
C - Cliff, Wolf

10 men rotation.

When Mag is back, I would use an 8 man rotation with Williams and Palmquist used for specific situations, ie foul trouble, etc.

You think Hyatt is a better defender than Wolf?
Yes + more defensive flexibility

I can go with someone else other than Williams just don’t think the options at that start are good either way

Williams plays terrible D.

Starting to lean towards Noah after watching how he’s been able to pressure and force turnovers the last couple games.

Five steals tonight.

All good except flip flop Simpson to the point and Jmike to Guard

I feel like JaMike will start to see a small decrease in minutes going forward but will play a bigger part in closing out games.

Cliff, but we don't really have a great fifth defender
