I'm becoming a big fan of him lately. He already saved our ass in a duel meet and comes through today. Reminds me of Theo a few years ago when he took over for another coveted transfer in Mason. The kid comes to wrestle every match.

As for a Billy, we really needed that as a team. Advancing 4 guys in the first round of the B1G in our first season is still nothing to sneeze at.

Smart move. Let him rest it for wrestlebacks/nationals (hopefully) instead of hurting it more in a match he couldn't win.

Win every toss-up, pull out a bunch of upsets and go undefeated?

Let's keep some perspective here.

at this point of the tourney, there are 2 disappointments:

1) AP losing a match he could/should have won

2) Theo injured

everything else was about as expected for RU, expect for the HH upset, which was a very pleasant surprise.

If RU can get either Smith or HH in to the semis, and if RU can win a conso match or two, this will be a decent first day.
