Yeah, some of you don't care about the lesser important bowls. Tomorrow's games:

Saturday, Dec. 19

New Mexico Bowl: Arizona vs. New Mexico, 2 p.m., ESPN--watch next year's opponent play a Power 5 team.

Las Vegas Bowl: BYU vs. No. 22 Utah, 3:30 p.m., ABC--Should be a good game. --HEY-why is Bronco Mendhall coaching in such a meaningless game and not in Viriginia?

Camellia Bowl: Ohio vs. Appalachian St., 5:30 p.m., ESPN--Well, will probably ski this one and watch BYU/Utah to the end

Cure Bowl: San Jose St. vs Georgia St., 7 p.m., CBS Sports Network----First bowl game in Georgia State history. The first of the 5-7 teams, San Jose State, in a bowl.

New Orleans Bowl: Arkansas St. vs. Louisiana Tech, 9 p.m., ESPN--Ark State 9-3 , Louisiana Tech, 8-4. Not real excited about this one.

Monday, Dec. 21

Miami Beach Bowl: Western Kentucky vs. South Florida, 2:30 p.m., ESPN--Umm, what is ESPN thinking? 2:30 p.m. on a Monday? Actually would have liked to watch this one.

New Mexico - I always enjoy the scenery during the New Mexico Bowl. I'd pick Arizona for sure - except New Mexico is going to be pumped to be playing in a bowl and they are at home. Hmmm...

Vegas, baby! This one should be pretty intense. I know what you're trying to do here, but no BYU-Utah game is meaningless. Besides, this game is almost two weeks earlier than the Fiesta, so Mendenhall could be in Virginia by Monday.

Camellia: I don't know much about either team's season. 1st bowl for App State, I think?

Cure Bowl: Georgia State rattled off four straight, including a romp over Georgia Southern, to get to a bowl. They will be fired up. Go Panthers!

New Orleans: this is going to be a real shootout! Could be one of the more entertaining bowl games.

Miami Beach: wait - there is a 2:30 kickoff for a Monday game BEFORE Christmas? I know they want to avoid MNF conflict, but that's crazy. Start the game at 5 PM.

Mendenhall is going to get a lot done in Viriginia when almost all of the players are home on break and nobody will be working in high schools because most schools are closed until the New Year.

If New Mexico beats Arizona will some pencil in New Mexico as a loss next year?

Not gonna lie I HAD it penciled in as an "L" until Flood was fired. We struggled with Army (another triple-option team), despite having LC on O that day, and New Mexico is a hell of a better team.

The Miami Beach Bowl is played indoors at Marlins Stadium. Not a great TV atmosphere. I want to see Utah/BYU for a little of this:

Retractable. 75-degrees tomorrow 10% chance of rain. I'd wager heavily that the roof won't be closed. It'll be the 8,456 actually in the stands that make for a lousy tv atmosphere.

new mexico runs the triple option the exact same way air force run it. it is different than the way army and navy run it. they will run some triple option out of the shot gun.fun to watch

Anyone taking New Mexico over Arizona?

I did.

I'm interested to watch their defense. They're #4 in the FBS in Red Zone Defense, #21 in Tackles for Loss and #33 Turnover Margin.

Based on the depth chart I saw as many as 10 starters on Defense will return in 2016 so the defense we see today should be the one RU faces next September.

3 Unsportsmanlike penalties against New Mexico. Penalties are killing them

NM is killing themselves with the penalties. WR Jones is a stud for Zona.

NM is causing turnovers but has no answer right now for the passing game.

21-10 right now. Don't think NM is built to come back from a lead if they fall further behind.

Game is on ESPNews. Dickey V. going nuts for Duke on ESPN in OT with Utes.

I saw the last 6.4 seconds of that game. Duke blew it. Made my day. Hope the ESPN talking heads started frothing at the mouth, seeing their home team lose.

5th major penalty on NM.

First impression is their D is fast and forces turnovers but is being overwhelmed by a bigger, stronger Arizona offense. Arizona is going deep because NM can't get pressure on Solomon with a basic pass rush and when they send the blitz they're getting burned.

Went into game expecting to be impressed with some aspects of their (NM) defense. Left the game unimpressed with much of it.

Guess I was more impressed than you. They could easily have thrown in the towel going down big early, then they lose their best player and they played with a lot of grit right to the end .... And most important for me, THEY COVERED.

Yea their defense wasn't as advertised but there offense sure put up a hell of a lot of points. More then I ever expected. We will have our hands full next year. Bob Davie has that program moving in the right direction same with Washington and Peterson. Our schedule next year might just be tougher than this year.

I was being specific to the defense. I knew what to expect with their offense.
