DC and Defensive Coaches -Throwing Some Names Out

[Knight Shift]

Andy Buh--currently DB coach at Kentucky. Coached with Ash at Wisconsin. They are friends. Andy has been defensive coordinator or co-defensive coordinator at Stanford, Nevada and California, and also coached for a Big Ten champion at Wisconsin. He seems to be the butt of a lot of jokes by Cal fans.

Dan McCarney- his name has come up a lot. Ash speaks highly of him.

Ben Strickland- currently DB coach at FAU. Seems young to be DC.

question - College - or NFL ? .... if NFL it would make sense of the 'delay' ... if College - being with a bowl team / playoff team could sort of explain - but hear soon
If NFL - maybe hear late tonight ? or tomorrow? or have to wait til some time in January?

... yes ... will Ash fill the Rutgers DC spot by reaching out to some one currently in a position with a College team - like several that you mentioned.. - - or will he look to bring in a guy currently in the NFL -
I have seen a few names kicked around -
Steve Spagnuolo (Giants) - but figure he is ridiculously out of reach - have also seen -
Brendan Daly (Patriots) and Todd Orlando(Texans) - ? - maybe?

- confess no strong clue as to the 'when' - and as for who?... well based on the fact that few could have guessed any of the moves so far - have to say 'who knows?"

Wow. That is a good find. Ash and Daly were at Drake 1992/3-1996. Nice work. Daly has coached in the FCS ranks and NFL. Highest position coach was DL.

Orlando is interesting. Northeast guy, currently at UH (not Texans), as DC for Herman. Wonder if Herman will let Ash poach him.
