Unfortunately Martini is not quick or strong enough for the B1G
Did Pike only watch tape of our transfers from the games against other low conference teams? I'm sure they would have been abused on D the same exact way against power conference opponents last year. Shocking lack of athleticism in some of these players.
Hard to find anything to be positive about about so far.
What do you guys suggest we be positive about?
Describes this team perfectly. More talented but less fight. It's like they expect the rebound to come to them instead of fighting for it or lack of will to fight for it.
We brought in 4 transfers who all can’t defend at this level
getting out coached by a coach with almost no coaching experience who barely got the interim tag removed
NBA great yes. Ace was never going to reach anywhere near his ceiling here but he can still be a great offensive college scorer and not come close to his full potential
Lot of people been waiting for this season for a long time - I think most of us in the know knew this was not going to be an amazing team. Still our 'dream season' is frustrating to a lot of fans - and that disappointment, while not completely realistic - is understandable.

Grant is not slower than Derkack and Martini. He played better D last game then these two. Martini is a bust, Pike is just not willing to give up on yet. He will have to soon.
Block was clean but the primary defender hacked him pretty good. Fine with that call.
90% of his shots are low percentage. Looks great when he’s hitting them but just average when he’s not.
Needs to learn to go left, everyone plays his right hand and not quick enough to beat them off the dribble.

They looked good the first 5 games vs. crap teams which tells you why Pike was able to get them.
Giving up so many offensive rebounds AGAIN. That + the ability to defend without fouling is this teams downfall
Lathan forced to defend the paint because Acuff has less than zero chance of staying in front of his man, leading to an easy offensive rebound. Just awful defense from Acuff
