It's early, but I love the Ash hire. All the rumors about Mullen, Rodriquez and other established head coaches may have not been seriously pursued because Hobbs knew he would need money to replace Eddie.

Right. We heard the same thing about Flood. Read Onthebanks.com it will cost us more to keep Eddie.
What $2.5M plus coach is going to come here? Please tell me. Because any coach demanding less than that is not going to get people into the RAC overnight. And guess what, if the 1% chance of that coach entertain the possibility of coming here, we ain't paying that guy $2.5M anyway. Vicious cycle. At least let one of these cycles end on time.
We spent $2M/yr on Ash plus raises & a higher $2.7M staff budget. We would've had to spend $4M-$5M/yr for a Mullen plus his high buyout, which really isn't worth it. Nonetheless, we needed to replace EJ last year.
