Did the win get any coverage on WFAN?

Last year we got a lot, but seems like the year I didn't hear anything at all. Maybe I missed some?

WFAN, Metro area talk radio and everywhere else for that matter were rightly concentrating on the football injury to Daman Hamlin
Yes, Jerry mentioned it during his update, but the program was focused on Hamlin, as it should have been. And Boomer said he will be there tonight. Al Dukes will not because it's a school night for him. Overall, having Jerry do our games and be on the show has been a positive for us as the program has improved.

Need to win and be loud tonight. Need Jerry to needle Boomer all day after a W and Boomer to realize how great the RAC is.

I think it has been positive . But recco as a play by play guy is very dull.

I get that there will be a ton of coverage on Hamlin and rightfully so, but they should still be able to talk a little Rutgers at least as a #1 undefeated upset. It's not like there has been all sorts of constant breaking news on Hamlin and it would help people not think about it and get their minds off it

Personally, I don't like listening to any terrible heartbreaking story. I certainly wouldn't want to listen to that all day on the radio. It would make me depressed

Boomer is supposedly coming tonight

Pat Boyle discussed the win during his overnight shift early Tuesday morning. Not surprising because I think he broadcasts a few RU home games when they’re on BTN+

They did talk other NFL stuff . So they did talk sports . But even on a normal day , that purdue game may have gotten only a couple minutes of air time if that on that station in that time slot

New York metro area's B1G team not getting press from the local sports talk radio scene after beating undefeated 1st ranked team is disappointing

Not a lot of college basketball talk anywhere this time of the year with NFL playoffs coming up.

It was mentioned and it probably would have been talked about more on any other day. Rutgers hoops is probably mentioned more these days than it has ever been in that time slot.

I'm not young anymore either but anyone who thinks WFAN is that relevant anymore is showing their age.

The game got a ton of play on college basketball Twitter and on college basketball pods and college hoops shows. People that care about college basketball know what happened and that RU is legit.

We should all know by know that there's almost nothing Rutgers can do in January to get the typical WFAN listener to care. If you're worried about WFAN, RU needs to make a run to the second weekend to get the New York/New Jersey professional sports crowd to pay any attention. Sad but that's reality. I long ago accepted it.

That's all well and good, but that's not the point of the thread. I'm guessing the OP wanted to see if folks outside the college hoops enthusiast environment took notice.
