Yeah, so what exactly are you trying to accomplish, but the obvious.
" the obvious" :p[winking]

Because the current big time donors are probably not going to withdraw their donations over the pregame music, but potential future donors might be more likely to become fans and therefore actual future donors if you make the game more attractive for them to attend.
Like you Zap I like watching the warm ups and get there early. I see the same thing as you. The players reactions are priceless. I have witnessed them outright pointing in his direction and booing when he cuts off songs before they get going. This is not name that tune, play only three notes mix. It is warm ups let the music play out.I don't wear head phones to a football game,
How does he play what the players want, when he doesn't play the actual song, he plays some dumb ass mix, minus instruments at times.
He blows.
I like a lot of the songs he plays but he makes his own versions up that suck.
I'm there, I see players get excited when he plays an intro to a song they like, they start moving and he sabotages it by changing it before it gets going, players look up at him wondering what the hell he's doing.
I see it, I'm right there.
I think the game music is excellent, the choice of songs the dance team performs to are great because they play the actually song.

No one is becoming a football fan because of the pre-game music. Really?
He has less than zero to do with our crowd rocking, you can thank the team for physical, inspired play for that. Was crowd rocking Saturday night? Yes it was, stop complaining.
I do wish it was not quite so loud and that we would hear more New Jersey bands--Springsteen, Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes,John Eddie,Red House,Eddie Rabbitt,After The Reign, etc.
You make no sense. DJ Yoshi himself came on this board and said that he has nothing to do with in game music or experience. So he had nothing to do with the energy during the game. Was crowd rocking Saturday night? Yes it was, stop complaining.
Your comment makes me sad. :cry:Bring headphones and listen to your own stuff. I'm not a fan of DJs generally speaking.

Not sure I buy that. If the players didn't like it, then they'd stop using himHe has less than zero to do with our crowd rocking, you can thank the team for physical, inspired play for that.
I'll complain when I feel like it, the players get pissed at the DJ and it bothers me…if you don't care about that so be it.

Players aren't asshats.. there's songs that make them move and the DJ cuts them off, so they get pissed....simple.Not sure I buy that. If the players didn't like it, then they'd stop using him
Why do the players get pissed?EDM is the most popular music in NJ for the millenial generation. We should play it. Oldtimers are going to whine. Your parents complained about the Beatles, do you sound any different?

TheHum by Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike & Ummet Ozcan. Check the Wolf of Wall Street thread.Anyone know the song that is played on the big screen with the players thumping their chest?
EDM...lol
I know where they play that stuff. My kids avoid those NJ guido places like the plague.

I ask all those who say "It's what the students like" to make one simple observation:
When all the EDM, Rap, Club etc. is playing you see patches of the student section actively cheering/moving to the music.
When 7 Nation Army, Don't Stop Believin', (The traditional) Metallica, AC/DC and MUSIC of that ilk comes over the speakers the entire student section comes alive. Every time.
Why not give the kids what they really want? And based on simple observation it's not a f**king club atmosphere. It's a rock show.
Just watch.
Edit: Oh yeah, and that mashup of Down With The Sickness was an abomination. To take a song like that and try to make it dance-able at a football game is a crime.
You're a NJ GuidI think it's the opposite, not sure what you're watching??

You hit the nail on the head, yes I'm old, but I still like good hip hop songs, if you play them out…he doesn't , and for the 10th time the players look up at him and get pissed. This post really makes you sound old and out of touch, no offense.
EDM is extremely popular and only gaining, and is now played at everything from tailgates to weddings to birthdays. Many of the students and young alumni (including myself) respond very well to it. Rock is okay in smaller amounts, but doesn't give the south endzone the same "kick" that EDM and certain hip hop tracks do.
I do agree with you that there is no reason for DJ Yoshi to spin his way out of a song very prematurely, and actually hate it when DJ's do that. One in Montreal managed to empty out a club within an hour because he couldn't play a single song for more than one minute at the most.
