Dylan Powell Offer

"I am still interested in Purdue and will continue talks with them and I am interested in all the schools I plan on visiting and Rutgers," Powell said. "I want to research all of my options and make the best decision for my family and me before I make a final decision."

Seen recently at FootballScoop site ... does this affect our chances?

"Duke: Per source, Purdue offensive line coach Jim Bridge is joining Duke’s staff. Laura Keeley on the Duke beat reports Bridge will be the tight ends coach/special teams coordinator."

I can't envision someone of this caliber choosing a college without visiting.....I guess he could conceivably come here during a weekday.

Love this out of state recruiting. Never a big fan of "State of Rutgers", thought it was gimmicky. This staff recruits wherever it has built-up relationships, if Jersey kids come, well that's great. Maybe it will get more Jersey-centric down the road - especially with Mantz on board - but Ash is following his mentor Meyer by recruiting nationally.

Yeah, especially one you didn't know anything about 2 weeks ago. Don't know if it matters but the two 3* Missouri guys RU is recruiting along with one 4* who has had an RU offer all along are all visiting Iowa State maybe on the same weekend. RU could have less OL options after this.

Been a lot of talk on the boards about QB recruits. Always nice to have a great QB.

But to my way of thinking, the highest priority right now is linemen (both O and D). Put together a great O line and you can make less than great QBs and RBs look a lot better. Put together a great D line and you can make less than great DBs and LBs look a lot better.

I hope that Ash's recruiting theme is "it's the linemen, stupid".

I'd rather see 6-6 300lb O linemen.

Agreed 6'4" 280 is undersized .....

Mildone is close with his ASH quote but Ash would say, " It is the quick feet linemen Stupid"
In the spread, size does not matter, if you can not get to your block in time you are worthless!
New era, new coach, new system, new world; get on board or get run over
