Im pretty sure hes being sarcastic. You can tell because no one would actually post that BS sincerely. Even RutgersAl would at least say he wasnt that good and we never really wanted him.
He isn't.

A few other analysts have said Maryland or ND. The reality is when one school constantly mentioned like MD has, that's the likely choice. Most ND people think it's basically a lock he's going to MD.
I imagine most MD people feel the same way as the ND people seem to do.
But wonder if those people (ND and/or MD) have a source of valid info or like this board's members, guessing the outcome.
I think every school's people that are following where Haskins will go have an opinion and that doesn't mean they have inside info on his destination..

RU's people expect the RU Screw every-time a recruit on Rutgers radar announces where he's going to, so that's why you find more
RU fans predicting the kid will go elsewhere, then you will find those RU fans that say he'll be an RU get.

Anybody happen to notice if he was wearing a pair of these?

Just curious. :)

I wonder if he would be swayed if he knew that the red and white portion of those shoes was the standard of the Maryland Confederate soldiers.

Setting up for another swing and miss for Flood. I hope I am wrong, we really need a legit QB.

# UMD would be the biggest kick in the teeth. Doubt ND or PSU have been pushing that hard, but you never know.
Why would it be a kick in the teeth? He lives in Maryland, his friends are in Maryland, and many of them are committing to Maryland?

A kick in hte teeth would be PSU.

We already have a legit quarterback named Michael Dare.
If that's what makes a QB legit In your opinion, then we have one in Rettig.
That probably wouldn't matter to him. He wants to be properly fluffed by a long season of hype to get him excited about the recruit before he commits. Rettig didn't give him the thrill of walking his hottie in front of others to make them jealous and make him feel like a big man.

I'm curious why people are saying zero chance. What info is out there that makes you think that way?

With JG it was a different story. If you were paying attention it was obvious he wasn't going to commit at RU. With Haskins, I am not sure what the "tell" is.

According to the predictions on 247 anyone but Maryland would be a surprise. If that anyone isn't us it would be out of left field.

I don't know if I agree with that. If you look at 247, they have OSU in 2nd with a 19% chance of landing him even though we all know that OSU isn't in the mix. 247 doesn't update the percentages and keeps outdated predictions that are from 2014 when everyone had him at OSU.

I am not disputing that Maryland is the clear leader by a wide margin, but since the first person predicted an RU commitment on 4/8/15, its 11 predictions for UMD, 5 for RU. Again, the turtles are clearly the leader, I just don't think an RU commitment would be out of "left field."

If you reread, what I said is that if it was us it would be a surprise but if it was a team besides us and Maryland then that would be out of left field.

Haskins is NOT choosing Rutgers...time to forget about family ties...who offered first...How the player thinks so highly of our staff...Flood's honesty

and integrity...We just don't have enough grease in the pan at this point.
Could not agree more! Funny I would have given anything for RU to be a middle of the road team 15 years ago now I want more. Seems like we are so close but the big boys don't miss their one and targets as often as us especially with our Qb situation. My daughter attends Clemson and super freshman Qb Watson re energized that offense. Flood seems like a nice fellow but recruiting is not his strength, obviously

My instinct tells me it's going to be a depressing weekend. And in the likely case he doesn't chose RU it's another talented Jersey kid going elsewhere. The kid is Jersey bred not Maryland. Heck I left NJ almost 40 years ago and I still consider it my home state. Haskins has been gone for what, 2 or 3 years? This one's going to be telling for Flood's ability as a recruiter and subsequently as HC. You couldn't ask for better positioning with a recruit due to family and friends to overcome the relative disadvantage of the Rutgers football brand. For Flood's sake and ours, I hope we finally get that huge momentum builder that is needed so badly.

Haha- no idea why we are listed. He's not coming to PSU. Surprised he is committing this early because be sure enjoys the process.

How is Rutgers football brand at a disadvantage compared to Maryland?? Maryland football is a train wreck.

That makes my point even stronger. This one should be a no brainer. Flood needs Haskins to choose RU bad. If it's Maryland, that's makes them a contender and a serious rival. We needed the comeback of the century to beat them last year without Haskins.

Train wreck? Two seasons ago you finished 6-7 in the Big East and -- despite beating us -- you finished behind us in the Big Ten last year. Our 2013 recruiting class was ranked higher than yours by both 247 and Rivals, our 2014 the same, and our 2015 is ranked higher by 247 (you are 53 and we are 54 on Rivals). Not to mention our 2016 class is already well ahead of yours and we are about to land a top five QB who literally grew up in the same town as your school.

But yeah...train wreck. Takes one to know one I guess.

I see that Mo Jabbie has not retweeted Haskins tweet. This tells me that he already knows and unfortunately it seems that it my very well be MD. I hope I am wrong but too many people are saying it's Maryland.

Flood cannot lose a recruit born and raised next door to New Brunswick like Haskins to Randy Edsall, just can't.

The negative posters here make this board nearly impossible to enjoy. I can handle and appreciate realistic pessimism, but some of you guys are unbearable. That's if you are legit and not trolls from other fanbases.

Those stating we have no chance, have you met the kid?

I have and will tell you he is giving us a serious look. He could choose to go elsewhere and I will wish him well no matter what. He is a really nice kid and I love his enthusiasm for the game. Hope to see him choose scarlet and start the ball rolling for a killer class.

Anyone saying we have no shot is clueless.

Cool, thanks for checking out a 16 year olds Twitter.

This early? QB's committ early in the process. He's the only QB ranked in the top 10 not committed.

impossible to pull clues out of stuff like that - he may know - he may not ... he may know & may or may not like what he heard but was told to remain silent until the announcement.....
- think about it - if you had a really good friend who was about to announce where he was going - wouldn't you keep your mouth shut & let him have his moment in the spotlight - regardless of whether you were delighted with his choice...
