How long realistically for a staff.

So while our coach is coaching another team, Durkin is assembling a big name staff. It may not be a big deal in the long run but there's no way the hiring process won't be delayed somewhat because of this foolhardy double schedule.

It truly was a shonda that Ash didn't have his new staff at his side at his welcoming press conference.

Edit- what made you change the post title so quickly ? For a supposedly intelligent guy, you sure do post some stupid sh* t.

Thought twice of that first thread title I see...good call, but still not a great thread.

Mike London ex UVa HC is a helluva recruiter and SS from Cuse is an excellent D guy but relax and let HCCA do his thing at his pace...remember Durkin had a headstart....I know we fans get antsy but its a marathon not a sprint...

Curt Schilling's wife is named Shonda. Maybe her parents really wanted a boy.

My opinion would be sooner rather than later. Ash said in the presser that it was a priority; so far, he doesn't seem like the type to throw that word around haphazardly.

I'd like to see him have a co-ordinator (either side of the ball) here for this week's visits, but who knows. Regardless, I feel better with Chris Ash as a "part time" coach (for now) than when we had full time Coach Flood (part time Inspector Gadget.)

You've got a head coach who we're all excited about ... BUT, for those rushing to judgment on this issue, he's still a guy who doesn't have a ton of NJ/FLA/PA/NY-related coaching contacts. It may take longer than the actual head coaching search unless we solely want a bunch of Midwestern guys.

Man there are some seriously lousy threads running right now.

YES - on certain levels there needs to be some detox going on - board got addicted to all kinds of news / rumor / speculation / controversy - like it was coming out of a fire hose.
Previous staff did their work like one of those robot vacuum cleaners - slowly - retracing their steps - and bouncing off of walls ... provided near daily amusement (often maddening )

Will predict that with the new leadership - more will get done & get done much more correctly , much more intelligently ... but not as much of the inner working will be painfully on display & not as much maddening 'daily amusement.'

So ... gotta come up with lots of substantive forward thinking productive discussions / analysis of future opponents
.....or lots of Pork Roll vs Taylor Ham debates / How to cook London Broil / best version of Honda Accord to buy / Superman vs Batman ...
..... or it will be like a giant pen full of starving creatures chewing on each other.

Oh no doubt but this thread is nothing more than a horribly thin veiled attack of the guy who has been in charge for not even a handful of days.
I think we finally found our guy since GS left us wavering...hard to blame GS but the timing was terrible leaving us scrambling...I think Pat Hobbs gets it and in a few yrs we'll forget all about this period....but some here will always find something to complain about. I wouldn't mind an Acosta on staff for a local guy but a heavyweight recruiter would make me happy..Many don't like him but a Locksley would shore up the Md/Del area recruiting wise though i don't know if he's a team player as far as chemistry on staff. RE from Md might have a long wait for another HC gig in 1A IMO..

Talking about Jersey guys who can recruit, I wish there is some way he could get Hafley away from Cleveland.
