...I’m telling you, it’s crazy. It almost hurts your eardrums.” - Corey Sanders.

Sat courtside during the Wenzel years. It is not almost. They hurt. Felt sorry for my young son then before he abused his hearing with earphones.

The student section was awesome. We just needed more of everyone else. Fun game.

And that's nothing yet Cory. Wait until bigger games such as SHU or if they can hang with MSU and other top conference teams.

Agreed. The students were great last night, but there was less than 5k in the building overall. This team is playing hard and deserves a sellout or two to really experience the RAC-mosphere.

SHU game has a chance to get to 8k.
Students can make a difference though with a Noon tip-off can they arrive on time?

Of course there will be lots of Hall fans in attendance too which should make the RU fans cheer louder.

Imagine if the 300 sections had people, how loud it would have been.

Hopefully those days are coming soon.

my ears hurt, but it had more to do with the loud sound system. The natural RAC noise got up to a 6 out of 10.

Rutgers really needs to have a home court advantage in B1G games which includes attendance and winning games.Since joining the B1G Rutgers record at home has been very disappointing.

Couldnt pay me to sit in the 300s. Uncomfortable, steep stairs, bleacher seats lol

My friend said the 300s were basically a ghost town. Maybe because it's uncomfortable up there?
Same comfort level in the 300s now as it was 40 years ago today when RU hosted its first game ever at the RAC...

way too many seats available right now. whole top is open. I am sure that there are also way too many SHU fans coming.

I'm stunned that RU fans have not yet scooped up all of the 100/200 level seats yet.

It's vs RUs most hated local rival.

If The Hall wins their next few games as TT and VCU I could see more of their fans buying up the 300 level for 12/16

I checked on black Friday and there really weren't many 200 level seats left. Mostly 300's, I'd say 80% of them were still there.

It didn't even take a winning season to get the students out there. And if this team plays the way I think it will, it will be VERY easy for the students to get behind it.

A very good sign.

This is the kind of thing that must drive other schools crazy...the students first and then the press that will follow.

When they really start to turn it around it will be fun to read the threads on here from those who haven’t experienced the RAC the way some us remember.

As @John Otterstedt said...soon.[devil]

might need to come up with a win though for SHU...students can be fickle...if RU loses to MSU and then SHU...its Wisky next up but during break on a Friday night

Tickets to the black out game were $10 for the 200 section... cheaper than the 300s. Likely part of the reason it was a ghost town up there that night.
