I always turn the sound down to where I can here some crowd but not be able to hear and understand the broadcasters.Sometimes just keep sound off period.
Mowins is God awful.
On the plus side, it's so awesome every game we play is easily available on TV (outside of the stupid Pac 12).

Mowins is a Lafayette grad and former Leopards basketball player who called basketball games for TTFP early in her broadcasting career.

No, it doesn't matter that she is gay or straight, and it doesn't matter if she once called Penn State games. What matters is we're on national television because we're in the Big Ten. The rest is just filler.
Honestly, I don't think she's a bad announcer from a content perspective, and she seems like a nice enough person. It's the voice - which I believe is a taught, affected, broadcast voice - that is just grating on my ears.
I remember listening to the Radio Chick show a bunch of years ago where she criticized the "radio voice" that some women put on (and imitated it on air) and how some broadcast schools used to teach that type of over affectation. She said she'd meet some of these women at radio gatherings and they were still putting on that voice because it had become part of their persona, and it drove her crazy.
