As he continues to play Issa Thiam 20+ minutes
Inexcusable loss by the team, we will be lucky if we can get another win in conference play.

I really want to agree he’s not as bad as Ash. But it’s starting to make you wonder just a little bit.Haven’t lost all faith in him but he certainly isn’t the savior some people think. He’s a very average coach so it’s all about recruiting. He needs to pick it up big time....he’s not at all like Ash...no one is.
It's always been all about recruiting. This team is weak in many areas...especially putting the ball in the basket.Haven’t lost all faith in him but he certainly isn’t the savior some people think. No, not his fault in my opinion. With the chance to take the lead some players came down the floor and threw up bad shots. They'll learn...
Playing issa is KILLING this teamNah, you don't understand. He keeps giving major minutes to a guy who has 6 points in the past 9 games and gives up 4+ 3's a game, every game because he can't close out. It's insanity

But Johnson, Mathis, Harper, McConnell have potential. Mulcahy looks good. Geo is only a sophomore,
Now can we gets someone who can hit a 3 ?
Success or failure as a college head coach largely depends on recruiting where Rutgers is far behind league rivals. The absence of shooters/scorers has been a ongoing nightmare even before Pikiell became head coach. The inability to utilize the 3 point shot as a key part of the offense puts Rutgers at a decided disadvantage against B1G teams and is the main reason the team has great difficulty even scoring 65 points .

I still think he'll be OK, but throwing up bad shots in key situations is on him. We didn't get great shots tonight, and half of our points were the result of forced shots. I've said this before - the offense is to predictable and as a result not difficult to defend. Teams with less talent need to run something more structured to compensate for lesser talent. No, not his fault in my opinion. AGREE. Not being facetious, but a problem is that we dont have a gunslinger. All our shooters have “consciences.”I honestly thought Issa was going to take a nice jump forward this year. Not having production from him and Kiss has killed this team.
Pike really needs to bring in a juco shooter like Jerome Coleman. A shooter like that can make a tremendous difference for a team.
I agree that it's time to sit Thiam. He should only be getting maybe 10 minutes per game. But that's not why we lost. We lost this game at the charity stripe and not having ANYONE knock down threes throughout the second half when the game was on the line. I think Pike needs to play McConnell more and have him bring up the ball because IMO, it's ruining Geo's ability to score. The kid is dead tired and has no lift in his legs, leaving many of his shots short. As he continues to play Issa Thiam 20+ minutes

Why can't it be a freshman shooter. People also conveniently forget Coleman was a disaster in his 2nd year.
McConnel didn't have a great game bringing the ball up either. Mulcahy and Young will help next year, but I'm not convinced these two alone will cure Geo's scoring woes. His shot has been off early in the games too.I agree that it's time to sit Thiam. He should only be getting maybe 10 minutes per game. But that's not why we lost. I know it's frustrating as hell to watch this team come up short again, but Pike IS a good coach. He doesn't have enough credible players who can shoot to get us over the hump just yet.
