I believe the Ivies still prohibit NIL payments. And red shirts only allowed due to injury,
End of an era. In 1970 #13 D1 Dartmouth beat #16 D1 in a sold out Yale Bowl. I believe that was the last time an Ivy was ranked D1.
My Dad is a Dartmouth alum so we used to go to a lot of games when I was younger. I remember Dartmouth/Princeton at Palmer being the ABC Game of the Week in the late 70s/early 80s. Buddy Teevens and Dave Shula were unstoppable.Love this.

Good timing. Ivies used to be big on their sports culture. I understand they didn't want to be jock schools the way others were becoming, but worse toxins entered through academic functions that were intentionally subversive and that poisoned institutions. Keep a lid on football to keep academics at the fore but then put in radical identity profs and depts? They were better off with football sketch
Princeton has a surprisingly pretty nice football stadium for an Ivy League school. And Penn plays in Franklin Field which has a lot of history.Love this.

So Princeton has no reason to not play us. Great. I say we look at the all-time series and have games at Rutgers stadium until it is even home/away for them. They should get a home game sometime next century iirc.
Agree. What they did in keeping the outside of Palmer Stadium and making a smaller, beautiful venue inside was brilliant. Been there almost every Penn/Princeton game, including this season, since the transition.
Go to Franklin Field often too. Sadly they updated the men's room a few years ago so there is no more pissing on the wall. Now they have real urinals. Pisses me off 🤣
