Correct me if I am wrong the but the APP really had good coverage of RU. Dunleavy doing a good job? If so, should be rewarded by fans and RU.

The APP articles are in stark contrast to the way the Ledger reports. Rather than use every article as a platform to rehash the same "scandal" allegations to ingrain them in every readers mind, they simply report the facts. I have enjoyed switching from nj.com and the Ledger to their coverage.

If you notice all the Ledger articles include the "recap" paragraph where they go over all the half facts that make up their case agains tthe school. After Rice, every article included mentions of what Mike Rice did and included a blurb on the Ray Rice incident. This time around every article about the arrests reference the Flood email nonsense. They always assert that the news is "shocking" or that the school is in "turmoil." Of course its not, but that's them pushing the sensationalist agenda.

Dunleavy is a solid reporter. Once in a while Josh Newman writes an RU article, and he is good. Edelman seems to be a wet blanket debbie downer type, and would fit in well at NJ.com. Carino's articles are kind of along the lines of Edelman, but not as bad. I don't expect a media outlet to be 100% sunshine and puppy dogs. But I also expect JOURNALISM, fact checking, and not jumping to conclusions without having all the facts. On that score NJ.Com is horrible.

Also like that Lewis is stepping up into a leadership role:

“I’ve always had to be a leader because I’m the ‘Mike’ linebacker,” Lewis said. “Coach Flood told me that the day I told him I’d be coming here, and the week before I got here we had a talk. He told me I had to bring my personality to the defense and I had to be a vocal leader and speak on things.

“If I was going to be a ‘Mike’ linebacker, I had to act like one and conduct myself like one. The same leadership I had in high school and at USC, I’m bringing here to Rutgers and trying to have it benefit my team.”

I miss Joe Calabrese; Brian Vanderbeek too.

When I try to read the article it says I've used up all my views. Any way to get around it besides signing up and paying?
